Okay, found that the oil was leaking from the flywheel cover, it was full of oil, weather it be form my old leaky vally seal OR a current leaking rear main seal, all oil has been cleaned out and no drops have been seen yet! Starting issue was a way loose starter motor solenoid cap which is getting fixed tmr. Water was just allot of condensation and ****.

Meh - a rear main will drop a 50c piece of oil for years with no problems. Leaky rears are factory fitted to most 5 litres. (Also leaky front timing cases) Get used to it (and make sure the drain hole in the bottom of the converter cover is not blocked).

i think this is standard on all holdens, it should be in the owners manual as "factory fitted" to all holden engines. found this out the hard way a couple of weeks ago. pulled my spare buick engine out at a mates place had been sitting in the car for months (level) and not leaked a drop, put it on the trailer, shoved it in the garage at home and dropped the trailer down, and it leaked a **** load in a couple of days from somewhere around the rearmain. ruined the wooden floor in the trailer my old man is not happy with me
