I intend on making a fully sealed CAI with no breaking in the engine bay so I would eliminate the stock snorkel of the V6 Base piece. The hole in the guard isn't an option for me because I don't want to cut or put any screw holes anywhere that shouldn't have them :P
|
That's what i did. Cept my piping holds a K&N od filter that sits tight in the front bar, with the factory moulded gap on each side of the VP senator front bars sitting right in front of it, so it catches the full brunt of the cold air hitting the front of the car when i'm driving, therefore the pod gets cold air rushing and covering the full 360 degree circumfrence of the pod.
It works a treat. I just have to clean the filter alot more than regulary.

Well, today I was booked in to get my aircon looked at. Went down at 8am and they told me they would have to first fill the gas ($100) change the condenser ($60) and thenn try and determine where the leak was ($35). They then noticed my alternator light was showing which I knew was showing, but was coming on more frequently this week. Checked the voltage and yeah, it was dieing. So I went home and pulled it off (the alternator, not myself) and dropped it off to them to get it rebuilt. So thats my story for today, went in for aircon, came out with alternator. I spose its goos I got it done before my trip to rainbow this Monday.

Hope you realised that the only thing wrong with the alternator was the brushes wore out and you can buy the regulator (2 screws in the back) for like 50-60 bucks, instant fixed
