Got another lil pressie the other day might see if i can get it fitted somtime next week and while they r at it get the trans serviced and finally put the final word if this car has a shift kit or not i dont think it has tho.



OOOoooo and got the new rims fitted 2day absolutly wrapped with them no scraps or nething they fitted perfect and omg cant believe how much lighter these rims r compared 2 the other chrome **** i had on they felt like lime stone bricks compared 2 them hahaha.





Now 2 chuck these other rims in the bin how much would sims metal or the likes take them 4?

Sure, don't chuck them out! Ebay them, or put them on parts for sale list, or give them to me lol

Are they actually any good? 17" chrome right? Scratched?

Well i would but i dont rekon id get much 4 them they havent been looked after at all they r scratch got some gutter rash and r corroding inside the lip. Ive had 1 flat coz of these rims already but thats normal 4 all chrome rims 2 do this u run the risk of gettin flats is alot higher ay thats the main reason i wanted 2 **** these off quickly with the new tyres on.

They r 18"x 8 envi's oh and i wouldnt say these spin up perfectly straight there is some slight movement in 2 of the rims but can b rectified with a balance but in the long run u'll get vibrations from the slight un even tyre wear.

I know what you mean about chrome and pressure loss though, the bead doesn't stick properly sometimes and air slowly leaks through... Shadow chrome 19s

Its not the beading that dont stick its the chrome that starts 2 either peel or corrode on the inner lip inside the rim thats caused usually 9/10 from ppl or servos not bleeding there compressor tanks enough so they allow moisture into ur rims.

If u do have problems with the beading not sticking tho put some bead sealer on the tyre b4 they get put on the rims. All tyre shops should do this regardless on chrome rims if they dont i wouldnt recommend goin 2 those places at all.

Yeah my new tyres are mounted up fine, haven't had any dramas there.. the tyres that came with the rims were the problem set

Thanx 4 the comments guys im itchin 2 start the boot fit out so its all tidy but that will b a few weeks away still.

I finially got a chance 2 stick the corvette servo in i was supprised how much it changed how it drove, was awsome now gettin 1st and 2nd chirpies lol Also got the trans serviced while it was there 2 $150 later.

Thanx man i got the servo off ebay only cost $45 i think jason (greenfoam) said that thats the cheapest place 2 get them from.

Got a pioneer 12 CD stacker 4 the car the other day 2 this 1 is weird i thought it was broken at 1st but then relised u have 2 put the cds upside down in the catriges hahaha my other stacker in the VT isnt like this lol

well not somthing really exciting but i got a new washer bottle 2day the old 1 was lookin rather ratty and there was all this brown stuff stuck inside the coolent bottle wall and the seal on the coolent lid was gone so it didnt seal properly and somtimes had some white streaks from the lid appear haha this should fix it

When are you guna get some clear side indicators? such a small thing would make it look heaps better.
Not many people have a black vp calais either! Since its in such good condition, keep it for ages.

Yer ive notice mainly only the SS's gettin round in the same colour but yeah its only the roofs paint job that lets it down but as a daily i cant complain mayb in the future it will get a full body spray

Actually there is a small story behind those indicators y they r on lol i was fiddling round tryin see if the globe holders fit straight into the VT indicators they did but as i was puttin them back in the lockin tabs broke on the original set so i had no choice but 2 put the VT indicators on since i had them spare just incase the VTs black indicators got picked up i'll look into gettin some clear ones

alot involved ? also is the dash blue?

Actually wasnt 2 hard in the end tho is a lil bit involved managed 2 use both SMD LEDs aswell as the normal Crystal LEDs and 1 single red LED haha Basiclly all u gotta do is take out the clear plastic behind the buttons then make up ur own PCB boards 2 fit a number of LEDs inside. ive managed 2 put in 1 LED 4 each button coz of the design of the buttons if u dont they wont light up even like the rest of em. After u dun that then u gotta black out the gaps behind each button so the LEDs light doesnt shine through the gaps (thats Wat the clear plastic and a black out foam padding is used 4)

The dash im workin on atm im trialing some LEDs 4 them but the cluster is gonna b all white with the factory red tacho, fuel and temp markings, red needles. Then the buttons im changing 2 all different colours say yellow 4 demister and dome button, red 4 hazard, reset and mode buttons will b white and on the other side the antena buttons will blue and the cruise buttons will b white. Gear selector will b white with red 4 reverse and blue 4 the drive gear.

Do you run into problems using LEDs in replacement of the factory incandescents? My LED parkers kept frying and melting (no they weren't blue, just bright white)...
