hehe yeah, i have traction issues, im hoping at the track it will be stickier, soo i can grip and launch my self into a low 14, and 5 second 0-60mph

Ahh, so you do have a tune. Ima have to track down a spare memcal ASAP!

yep current modifications are as follows

2.5" cat back exhust, 2 mufflers
corvette servo
tune

ordered a wade 818 today, (276 cam) should send my into the high 13s

doing valve springs, valve stem seals , inlet gaskets, lifters, and some other things

ok, just got back from heathcote, given that it was a very hot day the ET's wernt the best

ran a 15.3321 @ 92.9mph

that run was @ 32deg ambient temp,
was suggested to me by a pro that my valve springs were sagged as i couldnt get over 140km/h, 3rd gear at 3000-4000rpm was just passive @ 140.... something to work on i geuss

just thinking back to the burnout, i had problems reving high in 3rd gear so i locked first in the burnout, wouldnt rev over 5500rpm, didnt bounce off limiter just sat there, im thinking valves springs are sagged and they cant close quick enough

does the tune have knock sensor in it?

sure does,

but the knock board was broken (snapped pin) from some crazy careless feet :P
fixed now, ecu is back behind the kick panel,

anyway i got some big secret plans to run me a 13 second pass/passess.. stay tuned to watch this 5L get faster :P

Presuming you will be getting extractors and maybe diff gears to go for 13's?

im going into hospital on monday, i need my car considering where i live i cant afford to send it off to a panel shop for 2 weeks during exams :P,

plus, its not quick enough... but after all i havnt touched the car excpet for fixing the chip in the last 3 weeks

Good luck with the surgeon on Monday man!, I couldn't get my car to go fast tonight, but I'll go race it anyways. It's running consistant 5.6s to 60 mph but then again it was this morning before I went to all that trouble of swapping manifolds. I need it to be running in the 5.5s to be of any real use tomorrow as far as running a decent time goes so I'm swapping the plugs and fuel rail in the morning to see if I can convince it to go faster. Dunno what's up with it, I'll have to make a list of things to check

got pulled over AGAIN by the cops tonight, of course i didnt get booked because my car is road worthy

i hold the record for being pulled over and not booked

ive got soo much i want to do with this car and just not enough time to do it in, fiddled with 2x water injection rigs today, first one used a fuel pump but didnt have a fuel reg in my garage, fuel pump made over 100psi and lets just say the injection type wasnt vapourised :P once i get the water pressure to 40psi ill be laughing.. but yeah water inejction is in my future plan

been taking the faded stickers off and gay pin stripes that are scratched (leaving just 1 red strip down the side)

gonna get a new sticker pack (just the SS stickers)


but yeah i just wanna run a 14 before i go into hospital

yeah i did was in hospital for 5 days, and completly drugged out/crazy from pain for another 4 after that.. getting back to normal now

i primed 1 wheel today, going to let it bake in the sun all week in primer to harden it up a little looks good, this was the WORST damaged rim from the accident and look at it now..

getting a crazy colour mixed up for my rims friday, also getting new Lifters, Valve springs, VRS kit and installing the cam this weekend..

just gotta finish off some study things them im into it full swing.. next racing dates on the 16/12/2007 soo i hope to catch that and smash my way into the 14s

shouldn't have done it with the tyre on, i did that on my wheels, it makes and edge of paint to get caught by the tyre when it is taken off the rim
