nono, i want pics too. Really considering the $2000 or so to get a standard holden fitment roof put in my car, as long as they can do it the same as yours, with the trim cover.

The back part of the roof does sag from age and there isn't any material buttons in there.

Time for a change I guess. A mortgage + peak hour traffic everyday isn't too good for the wallet.

I'd love to deregister it and keep it in storage, but I move around every few years due to my career so it will be more of a liability.

As for price, a quick look on Carpoint shows clapped out VP V8 Calais' going for minimum $5k, with 250,000km+ on them.

I think a V8 HSV Enhanced Calais with 147,000km, with stereo, electric sunroof and all the original HSV bits still in awesome condition will be worth a couple of grand more than that.

We'll see. I'll take it for the major 150,000km service, get a RWC, detail it and then gauge some interest in it.

By the looks of it, ur head lining sits a lil lower than mine that must b how u get ur room 2 have a lid? looks great tho man. thanx 4 the pics

Sell it or keep it? What do you reckon?

I'm checking out a Nissan Xtrail this weekend (fully loaded with leather and manual), and if it looks the goods then I will be handing over the cash. Its a good combination of space and 4 cylinder economy that I like. My sister has one and I was impressed.

After I buy a new car, I'll be taking the VP to get the tints done as dark as I can legally go, get the front bar resprayed and possibly the roof lining redone as well. Then it will be detailed.

I just got offered $8600 as a trade in for a 2008 RAV4, but when I looked at the figured closely, I was gettin ripped on the price of the RAV4.

I'm in half a mind to put it on stands in my shed while its mint (keep in mind its only got 147,000km on it) and leave it for 5-10 years and pull it out and do some work on it to freshen it up, after my mortgage has shrunk and my salary has doubled.

So, whats your thoughts?

Thats what I'm thinking.

Any tips on storing cars? When my parents owned it, it sat for 10 years and covered 11,000km during that time. Sometimes it went for up to 6 months before someone bothered to start it up and give it a run.

I'm thinking putting it up on stands and starting it every second week or so?
