hey guys,

well i was half way through building a decent powered vp v6 when this came up, i couldnt resist! lol. so i sold my vp and bought this vn calais.

it is an original vn calais, it has a rebuilt t5 with new clutch, new diff, rebuilt motor.

balance shaft removed? not to sure why..
sc14 blower runing 4.5psi. turbosmart blow off valve
2.5' striahg tthrough exhaust system, vx ss 17's
lowered on king springs
new rotors and pads front and rear
sports steering wheel.
modified belmouth in air intake
instead of a pod its been re routed to fit the factory airbox.

lol they look nice, but i am contemplating swapping them onto my vs clubsport, and putting the tri spokes on the vn, or possibly even my spare 17' vr clubby 5 spokers, will have to do a couple swaps before i decide lol.

btw the cars colour is white.

VN calais manual original thought they didn't make em in manual ? ,Any way sc 14 what blower is this? can it be brought up higher in the boost range?

yeah they did make some manuals. um it is a toyota blower, yeah it can be boosted up. but 4.5 is egnough for now, the security pack should be here for it 2morrow so i can run it properly lol. pics 2morrow! i am hoping to get a decent tune and my diff sorted out, it came with a minispool (not in the diff though), so ill be chasing some 3.89 gears to put in witht he spool.

for those who didnt know what the other was, it was a 2 bar map sensor and tune burnt onto memcal.

remapped memcal yea, with a fair bita custom work put into it. just plug and play, fine tune later.

she is coming together nicely atm, map sensor, new memcal, and induction going on tommorow in time for a quick tune using an exhaust gas analyzer, keeping an eye on my mixtures, hope all is sweet so i can start to save some $$$ for more bits.

hopefully get the car booked in for a shampoo of all the carpets and trims asap!

would have to be now hes running a 2 bar map though... car wont start without it!

its all really just covering my ass, as much as i enjoy the clutch pulley, i will want more boost, so figured ill cover my tracks now and just go the 2 bar and custom tune.

should be runing good after tommorrow. =) yeah ill try get her detailed this week sometime and get some worthy pics!

New injectors, new fuel pump, retune.... and the new pully...

Thats almost a grand there... like $800....

10pound though.. its worth it!

bigger injectors are in already. .

bigger pump and smaller pulley are possibilities. yeah a few more bits and peices to take care of first

being only 17 yeah funds are limited especially this not being my only car.

becomes quite expensive having the two projects going at once lol. but the v6 has my attention for the moment.

what injectors have you got? tune will need to be modified once you put bigger injectors in. standard fuel pump should be fine. smaller pulley WILL need intercooling

oh yeah forgot the cooler.... theres another couple of hundred in cooler and piping too.....

um the injectors were sent away and got re ringed and flowed with different nozzles, i forgot what lbs they are now..... egnough


the tune has been edited to suit the injectors already. its all go.


today i put the new tune and 2 bar map sensor in. and it makes a hell of a difference with the supercharger. runs like a pig without it haha so i guess smaller pulley is on the way seing as i cant really drive it around without the charger anymore anyhoo . lol well thats my reasoning

but atm a new bumpstick is in the making along with a rollamaster timing chain set. smaller pulley and cooler are last on the list for the time being. but do not worry, i will get there

so it seems my "2 bar map sensor" is only a single, i put the map sensor in and my new memcal, and my check engine light popped up solid, and would not go off, at first i thought maybe it was just the oxygen sensor picking up a fault because of the slightly different fuel mixtures. but it happens on idle, so that stuffed that. i need to do a diagnostics i think.

136 dollars for brand new map sensor from capa seems to be the go now i guess. =(

where abouts do you live? i got my 2 bar brand new from mitcham victoria for about 100
