Any mods u wana do to her?
good luck with it all.
cheers marc.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
Here's a few pics of the interior.
Looks great! Although im not a big fan of your rims. Do you know how much PoWa she is puttin out? How much do you think she gained with the new exhaust, also did you feel much increase after removing the engine fan and how did you install the electric fan?
Thanks. Its put out 204hp at the wheels at the dyno day that we had a Power Torque a few months back. I felt a bit of a gain from the exhaust, but it wasn't overly huge. It does sound alot better then what it used to though, it has a nice burble to it, and its not overly loud.
No gain from removing engine fan. I only did it to fit the Gilmer drive. My housemate is a sparky, he wired it in for me. The fan just bolts through the core of the raidiator basically, with some long screws and some big washers. It is controlled via a temp probe that goes in the top radiator hose, with a dial to set the temp that it comes on. Im not a big fan of the way it is controlled with the probe, as they tend to leak around the top hose, despite the rubber seal that comes with it. I turfed the seal in the bin, ran a bead of silastic inside the hose, and let it seal for a day or two. It still leaks a little, but nowhere near what it used to.
You are the first person to tell me they don't like my rims!
hey dude gilmer belt drive on the injected man ur the first ive seen with this i been lookin at it how is it? notice any changes at all?

Cant imagine there would be any trouble with Ebay ones, I bought mine through Performance World Auto Centre in Brissy. Ive had no trouble with mine, so if they can post to you, I would recommend going through them.
I fitted them myself, it was quite easy, however being a mechanic I had access to my own tools etc. I had to fit an electric fan for clearance, the crank and Alternator pulleys just basically unbolt, and the new ones go straight on. I did loose use of my A/C, which didnt concern me, and I had to space my P/S pump forward about 1 inch, as the replacement P/S pulley bolts to the front of the Gilmer Crank Pulley. That caused a few troubles, but once I got the spacing correct it was all good. I did need to move my charcoal canister, and I need to move my battery to the boot, and put the canister in its place. It rubs very slightly on the P/S pump pulley. Other then that, its all good!
I do recommend buying a replacement belt, as its not something you can buy from Repco etc. I havent had trouble, but belts don't last forever!
When I get home, I will film it with the engine running so you can have a listen for yourselves. I wont be home until Friday the 16th November though, unfortunatly![]()
Thanks. I will post some pics of the interior a bit later on. Power: it put out 204rwhp at a Dyno day at High Torque a few months back.
Future mods - this year; Statesman chrome door handles are coming, battery in the boot, finish stereo.
Hopefully next year a new diff with 3.7 in it, and Im looking at going a 355 stroker. I have a mate who has built quite a few 304's, and will help me if I get the kit, so I just have to pull my finger out!
Havent updated this for ages. Few more bits have been added since I last posted in here:
Viper Alarm
Mallory MSD Ignition
Full Boot Install
MSD Blaster Coil
Twin 2.5inch Exhaust System
Statesman Chrome Door Handles
Battery in Boot
Painted Fuel Tank
Greenfoam Tune
A few pics:
I'm not sure If I want the car anymore. I just bought a GSX 650 F Suzuki, and I've got my eye on a 2nd hand GSX-R 750, so I will wait and see what happens over the next few months.
