My Supercharged Vn V6 ( specs and photos )
Hi,
Its a 1989 Vn series 1 commodore sedan, with a sv5000 body kit and 18 inch vault rims.
It is a v6 manual.
Modifications are as follows....
Engine - Rebuilt with 20 thou over acl race series pistons,
Extensively ported heads with oversize valves.
Custom grind roller cam, match ported inlet manifold, 70mm throttle body,
yella terra roller rockers, crs blower kit with 90mm pulley ( 8 psi ) , magna blue injectors.
Ignition - Vr Ignition module with Msd coil packs ( re-located to inner chassis rail ).
Exhaust - difilippo extractors, duel 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust to the diff then single 3inch over the diff with one straight through muffler.
Computer - Haltech E6 with 3 bar map sensor
Fuel pump - Walbro 500hp in tank pump
Gearbox - standard T5 ( 2nd one) with extreme button clutch.
Diff - mini spooled Vn diff with 3.9:1 ratio
With the above mods it made 180.2 kw at the wheels at 6000rpm, It would have made more but started to run out of fuel about 6000rpm due to the magna injectors being to small. ( cam makes power to 7000rpm).
At the moment, I have just fitted a intercooler with 3 inch ceramic coated piping and machined the blower pulley to 75mm, chasing more boost. And a cold air intake, And have fitted 42 pound injectors so I can raise the rev limiter to 7000rpm. Its getting tuned at the moment, Ill keep you posted with the results.

very unique idea for cooler pipes. most people flip over the crs outlet pipe and run it that way. how hard was it moving the throttle body?

wasn't that hard just needed longer throttle cable and extend hoses + wiring.

k then just i was looking at getting those pistons too but i'll stick with the stock items for the 8.5:1
nice numbers from a buick what fuel reg u running & diff setup, i bet you would like to be in the 200rwkw range im sure that's not too far off,give me a run for sure in that vn. sweet ride

BAD NEWS EVERYONE!
whilst my car was getting tuned oil pump **** itself and seized the crank and conrod bearings.....
last dyno run was 200atwkw!

how much are you after for the throttle body setup? just the bit that conencts the charger to the TB
