Thanks for the comments guys. Yea trust me i have my fingers crossed for the next inspection. The wheels are from ANZ, i thought they were a good match.
Heres what it sounds like. You can hear the 044 and the exhaust scrape lol

very very nice car mate![]()
Check out my ride here...E Series Chubby
Looks really good mate. Does it state that you have to do an emissions test? Cos I was under the impression that they don't do emissions tests unless there is good reason for it. If they need to test the exhaust then they do a db reading and thats it usually. I don't know but that was my understanding. Keep up the good work.
Thanks mate. Yea its written on the form "emission test results to supplied at next inspection" They dont do the emission test themselves however, i have to go to a credited workshop that can do it.
As soon as i rolled in for the inspection all the techs just starting shaking their heads lol. I passed the db with a singe 3" system and some plates but it just idles too rough, they knew. They told me that any non-standard item fitted be it throttle bodies ect will need an emission test to "comply"....It Sucks!
Oh ok, that sucks. Let us know what workshop they do it at and how much it costs them to do it.
Looks good Dan, we will have to get some photos of our cars togther some time.
I had a inspection last thursday at Pedders and they found that the front springs werent trapping properly. So im going back there this thursday to replace them. This will also jack the front up 25mm which should also fix the defect for the exhaust to ground clearance.... i hope.
Cheers mate. It wont be defected for ever!... Everything is going well atm... should be on the road with the blower legally by August with the interior done also.
august!? lol why so loooong??
I need to pay the car off lol. Then buy another daily. Get the car off defect then blower ect and engineering. Not to mention i need to build a shed at my place coz its getting kicked out my mates shed. It'l be on the road before August but not with the blower ect. Its going to be a bit disappointing with the new cam![]()
ah thats fair enough then... dont worry ive done cam swaps for emissions before and its really not worth the time and effort, its so unfair...
Yea i know! I have to change the cam for the blower anyway. And to change to a standard ecu is even more screwed!.... Dont they know that a standard ecu can be re-tuned to the same level as an aftermarket ecu. Dosnt make sense!
yeh but not while your driving....aftermarket ECU's can make emission tests read lower due to more accurate tunability... but we cant argue cos the fat controller who makes the laws doesnt know whats better or not...
