Hi girls and guys, here is my new ride only have had it a week. Its a 1991 VN BT1 5L with crane stage 2 cam same as VN Group A item,T5 manual,VP SS LSD diff 3.08,17inch ROH wheels, extractors with highflow cat and 3inch exhaust, standard interior,cd player with stacker, monstaer tacho.Yeah not a bad car.
In this last week have changed the springs to FE2 pedders height (front/rear),as hit sits in these photos is with the springs i have fitted,i replaced them because it had super lows in the front and the tyres were hitting the guards. So i replaced the lot.Gave it an oil/filter change, changed the gearbox oil, moved the monster tacho to the A pillar (was mounted to the left of the wiper switch, also gave it a wash and a polish.Have some big plans for this car.Well hope you guys like it will take more photos soon.

Well its sits nice now the front wheel have about 10mm height from the gaurds and the rears gaurds have been rolled and the wheels sit under there abit.Has 170,000kms i payed $5200,i know it sounds much but hey i have always wanted one,its in really good nick for the age,its also had abit of a hard life,(the car used to be raced on the track at some stage). But hey alittle bit of work and it will be smick.I have some big plans for this car too.cheers

I have added a photo of the idea i got to make a manifold up like this one.I seen this on the **************** forum. And its looks good. But its missing a throttle body.lol
Love the rims man, well, thats because i have the same onesLooks sweet overall though
Here are some pics of the engine bay(i took them today),still dirty and plain. But in the near future will have twin throttle intake manifold, and creamtop injectors and some painted rocker covers, gilmer drives/thermo fans to help jazz it up a little.lol anyways today i painted the top of the plenum (looks shiney)And also modified the lower section of the airbox to allow more colder air into the engine and bought a new high flow air filter, boy that little mod is noticeable.

Yeah thought i might updat abit on my car here.So in the last few weeks i had purchased a inner active twin throtte hatt and high rise single plan manifold.I have fitted this to my VN,i have chosen to go with 2 X VN V6 throttle bodies (60mm).Yeah had some fun drilling and tapping some holes but it has come up very well and the car is running well with them but will need to get a tune done,i have noticed a big gain about 3000rpm but down low have also noticed a small power loss.I still have to upgrade to blue top injectors.
This past weekend i had upgraded my exhaust,(i was going to get a set of 4 into 1 extractors, but further looking into fitting them they were going to cause me some hassles/so i oppted to go with tri y's),so i fitted a set of HiTec extractors/with there merge pipe and also fitted a 3 inch offset turbo muffler/my exhaust is just a single 3 inch/high flow cat and sounds very nice(loud) to me,before the fittment of the extractors i had just those HSV style ones and with the cam running in my engine you could slightly hear the lope, now it sounds very lumpy/aggressive which is awsum.Yeah well i will try to get some pics and post them up.

Okay so i might update what has been going on with KRUPTOR.Well last i mentioned the exhaust was fitted up.Well i got my throttle body intake pipes made up and hadd to cut the bonnet hole larger to accomodate it.Still need to tidy up the engine bay.So future projects are to get a set of bosch 775 blue top injectors and get the memcal readjusted to suit my mods,i have also purchased a gilmer drive set and will be fitted as soon as i can get my hands on some ef/el thermo fans and a thermal switch. Also will be replacing the rear VP bumper and boot garnish with VN items and painting the front and rear bumpers and the sills in gloss black.Well here are some photos of the intake piping, still need to box the air filter area.

Well with the big hole in the bonnet i have modified a VN SS bonnet bulge to cover it,i forgot to take photos of the car today once i had finished painting it,but will do.Well it actually goes pretty good with the twins, the cam helps abit too,the twins are very noticable from 3000rpm,still need to upgrade my injectors and get greenfoam to re-adjust the memcal to suit some further mods.

Here are some pics i took of my car thisafternoon, also its alittle dirty too.The bonnet bulge isnt standard as you can see.![]()

Hey,a quick question. How many turns of the tailshaft to 1 turn of the back wheels for 3.08/ 3.45/ or 3.73's????
(KRUPTOR)VN BT1 5L TTB's,MANUAL,LSD
awesome ride, rims look sweet on it too
Thanks guys for your comments, yeah i like the VN/VQ shape compared to the VP.

Ok guys i had some spare time at work today and i decided to put my car up on the hoist and roughly check what ratio was in the diff.I marked the tailshaft and the rim and spun the both the rear wheels and watched how many turns of the tailshaft it took for one revolution of the wheels.I came back with an answer of 3 and a quater turns of the tailshaft to one revolution of the rims. But what i want answered is what ratio does this mean 3.45s??? or 3.73s??? or 3.9s????
I have been looking in threads over this forum and have come across that
3.7's at 100kph will rev at 2200rpm (in a VN) and 3.9's at 100kph will rev at 2300rpm.Well my car revs at 2300rpm exact at 100kph so i must have a set of 3.9's in my diff.
Can someone please rectifiy my question.cheers

Well my speedo isnt out i have tested it with another car.Clutch isnt slipping.Another thing it pulls harder than a standard ss manual vn.Before i bought it the owner mentioned the diff had been changed but wasnt too sure.

Thats a big setup under the hood, havnt seen anything like that in a while. The car looks good thats for sure. A mean white VN you have, Should paint the bumpers black, even meaner.
They sure are Jecs.High rise single plane active manifold with a Ford Active twin hat.As you can see they are much different than the holden hat.
Hey Mack thanks, she is one tough 5L (with some goodies lol),yeah im going to do that ofcourse.Going to get a VN bumper and boot garnish and paint the front and rear bumpers in gloss black and also paint the sills black too.
