Hey guys this my 1989 vn calais. I have had her 4 just over 2 yrs now and i still love her. She is only a 6 but i cant afford to run an 8. Not to much engine mods atm apart from the usual **** like exhaust, filter and throttle body. Soon getting fitted with an 100 hp shot of nos to make her a bit more fun when i want her to be.
Out side she is lowere as far as she will go ( rear anyway, i dont want to c how low the front will go) Speedy 18" envy mark III in shadow, few odds on the bonnet and some pinline work i had a mate do 4 me just to make her a little apart from the others out there while still blending in.

Ok most the time and money has gone into the entertainmment system (plz dont 4get im a broke arse) I have a jvc exade dvd headuntit, lightning audio 6.5" splits in the front, alpine type r 6x9 in the rear, 800w kenwwod amp, 222 & 444 sony explode amps and a 300w pioneer, in the boot are also 4 sony explode 12" subs. PS2 also fitted in the glove box and a larger screen fitted above the head unti in true ghetto style.

Im sure there is more to list but no doubt u gone straight to the pics and seen most of it 4 urself. Hope yall like her as much as i do

yer i cop it about the tacho a bit but it is used 4 the drags (when i get to go) im just a little lazy and would rather be told when to shift than work it out 4 myself lol, Not total manual control but everybit counts when its only a few seconds

sweet ride mate, real neat setup for the gauges and dvd unit... Still have a soft spot for VNs...Miss mine heaps...

Had a respray? or you just keep it clean?

Did you have to rip out the aircon vents to fit the DVD unit? Just cant remember how the VN dash normally sits...

Mmmm..sounds nice. A snail on a 4.2l would be awesome. I would expect 200rwkw easily depending on what turbo you get.
You've got lots of gauges there, what ones are they?

Very interesting that for sure,do like the rear garnish, centre consol and wheels, think the vents in the bonnet look cheap. What is with the the volt guage - Do you really need that.

Good stuff, long live the vn calais.
    Cheers.

yer the volt gauge has saved me a few times, just 4 when we out camping or anything. Its handy 4 when u have the music going and u can keep an eye on the volt level so u can start ur car in time so she dont go flat. Thats about all its there 4 really, hahaha. When ya live out my way u do a lot of camping but, not much more to do
