    Default 330hp vn v6 calais

    Hi all
this is my ride been working on it for 3 years and
done most of the work myself but still go a lot more to do
the motor is an L67 v6 supercharged out of a vs stato
mods so far : 82mm pulley, 5% overdriven balancer, 1.9:1 rockers
carbon fibre airbox with pod filter and a v8 supercar brake duct for cold air pick up, n/a pacemakers twin 2.5" s/s cats into 3" with 2 s/s mufflers

just fitted a carbon fibre bonnet which weights just over 5kg currently making carbon boot with a vnss bobtail molded in and some custom door panels
    then will attack the dash

L67 conversion is rare as hens teeth, any problems? nice time as well nothing to be sneezed out
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

well my car is off the road for a bit supercharger was making bad nosies
so had it rebuilt like new now but i also ordered some thrermocomposites to
make an intercooler plate to allow me to run some more boost and hopefully get into the 12's
going to rip out the auto and get a manual valvebody put in and a few other things done

well it been a while now been busy making my own custom
intercooler plate up for an air to air setup so far its looking good
and probably a couple of weeks away from being on my car can't wait
should be an easy 50+hp gain and get me into the 12s ETs

going to put some 3.45 gears in and get a shift kit as drive line is still stock
and maybe fit a bigger throttlebody
that should get me pretty close to 11s
and more practice with some slicks
i did a run with better 60' and 330' times but had to back off before i went
across into the other lane and got a 12.5 still

heres a vid of my 12.3 pass
8.5" slicks would rub when turning but was enough room to do a straight
    line run

Almost did the time i wanted but no cigar this time
Didn't start off to well had my plugs set to 0.98mm and was breaking down a fair bit
went to close the gap up a bit an pulled the end off one of my leads got 6 years out of them so not
to bad i guess magnacores will have to try again soon new leads and plugs and maybe a tune
in order of runs i got quicker each time maybe slicks might have got the number i was after

    12.448@108.43 mph - 1.85 60'
    12.398@108.69 mph - 1.84 60'
12.327@105.26 mph - 1.86 60' - blew off hose across the line ops: after this run i regapped the plugs (well closed the gap) and run one of astro's leads cause mine died
    12.236@110.29 mph - 1.83 60'
    12.153@111.80 mph - 1.86 60' - put front runners on
12.004@112.50 mph - 1.77 60' - didn't have time to put slicks on maybe next time

all runs were on et streets which hooked up pretty good even got my first lot of tyre shake
    on my second last run
