hey everybody, just thought i'd show my vp clubby build to anybody interested.
bought it last week for a good price with no front engine and a little bit of front end damage,
the plan is to rebuild the front end, and clean up the engine with some new bearings and gaskets then sell it to fund another project and tax
runs a standard 304, t700 with shift kit(supposedly), also runs a 3.45 mini spool rear , got it home and drove it up the street and back an went hard, drove it in the garage and pulled the engine out, got my bonnet, guard and front rad support this weekend, hopefully during the week me misses old man will help me fit the rad support and line it back up its not really that bad
after that hopefully spray it the same colour and fit the engine back in ready for roady and rego, then sell it ahha
I REALLY NEED A VP SS FRONT BAR AND FOG LIGHTS SO IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET ONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW ALSO CHASING THE REAR SKIRT AND SIDE SKIRTS
the pics so far:[IMG]

Yeah, plus it has a statesman centre console. VP clubbys didn't have a console like that. Plus VP clubbys had small kits, front and rear electric windows (CHEETR is correct, i own a vacationer and it only has power windows in the front, only model that did have them only in the front).......get the VIN number and ring up and have it checked dude. How much did you pay for it?

sorry fellas but your wrong... it is genuine clubsport, the velour console was an option and yes they only had front electric windows. they where based off the ss commodore, the hsv plate is behind the brake booster and also checked with hsv before i bought it , its all genuine!!! check the hsv website they tell you wat they came out with standard and options and ****
But if you look at the tacho cluster, you can see the HSV symbol on it. Unless the previous owner just "customised" an original clubby. In that case, i'd say it's either a fake, or someone wrecked an original clubby by changing parts in it.

hey fellas i have know idea why you doubt me i wouldn't have bought it, let alone even fix it if it was a fake vin is 6h8vpk19unl581640, punch it into hvs website comes back as clubby, imperial blue , blue trim, and gay 16inch family wheels
cheers mack seems like your the only one on my side!
fitted the second hand panels yesterday just waitin on the father outlaw to come round and pull the front then just cut the rad support and weld in the front cut i got

ahha just checked the website again on my vin says the suede console as option!
Holden Special Vehicles
just down the bottom it says authenicate or something click on that throw your vin in and it tell you wat it is and trimm codes and all that junk
what the hell has books got to do with this? we had enough reason to believe that the car may not have been a clubby, so we expressed our opinions. im sure the owner would have liked to have known if he bought a fake. most normal people would. they wouldnt get so damn hostile at people that are trying to help out.

Yeah, they are just trying to look out for ya interst HGHOON. They are just confused because it dosnt look the the norm Clubby. Since the VP was the 2nd model to gain the clubsport name not allot is known about them compaired to the later models.
Looks like your getting a move on to get it all fixed.
yeah mate thats it i had not even seen a vp clubby before but i found this cheap and researched about it and everything was sweet, so handed the cash over and now just have to fix it and sell it to make i nice return, wat do you fellas think they are worth its only done 225kms which is low for a vp i think, i was thinking of strokin it and installing a cam and wat not, but the internals are clean as, i'm think i will just stud it and renew welshes gaskets and seal the slap it back together it seemed to pull pretty hard
Yeah we aren't calling you a liar dude, not at all, we are just trying to figure out if it was real or not. Either way, it's a VP, and it's a 5 litre. It's a winner whether it's a real clubby or a fake one!! The body is nice and straight too which is a mega bonus.
Now to just whack some schmiko wheels on here, give that interior a detail and the outside a detail and you have one sweet ass ride!
Bahahahaha, FAIL. VT 5 litres are useless. Bloody heavy as all guts. A VP 5 litre would be the better option due to less weight in it's fat ass. With the amount you would spend on a VT getting the power up to scratch so you won't notice all the bloody weight in it, it would be better invested into a VP or VN 5 litre and would end up going faster anyway.
