Alright guys, time for me to post her up. Firstly, here is a list of what I have done since purchase. (Maintenance)
- Cleaned throttle body.
- 3 new coilpacks.
- Home service. (Fuel and oil filter, drain and replace oil, brake fluid, P/S fluid)
Now, what she needs and what I want to replace:
- Machined front rotors.
- New dizzy cap.
- Shortened front and rear shocks.
What I have done performance wise:
- 2.5inch cat-back with single supercat muffler, sounds awesome. deep at low revs, screams at high revs
- Superlow front King Springs
- Low rear King Springs (I bought 'superlows' from a guy interstate, was ****ed around because he is a ****ing retard and told me they were superlows, then after i found out they were lows and asked him wtf he was thinking, he tells me 'he saw them in a mates car and it was pretty low so he assumed they were superlows') so now i have to either get new springs or get these ones heated and compressed. (anyone got an idea of cost for that?)
- 14 Inch old school dragways with H series offset (you wouldnt think they would suit, but i believe they look good. personal opinion really, i know people that love them and people that hate them)
And now, for the pictures.
There you go guys, please excuse the brown interior. It might be rare, but its horrid.
Also, shes done 178,000 km's.
i dont mind the rims man they look good the cars at that age where u can do some old school stuff 2 it. with the rear springs man just get new springs they dont cost much at all.

i know they dont cost that much, but im on $94 PW and doing year 12 and i have bills - getting ****ed around like that is a pretty big setback.
car looks good interior is horrid lol but thats lexans for ya, loose the grill and get a white VN commodore one or letter box will look good also paint the black strings around it will make it look heaps better, or black bumpers FTW lol![]()

You would be suprised how much better the average Lexcen interior is over most other VN'sI'll have to take a picture inside my old VN one day. And tan interior is allways better than grey (anythings better than grey since 95% of VN's are grey) boooooooooring. The darker Brown is the best interior on the VN's I think
ill put pics up of my interior tomorrow.
The interior in a lexen would be in better nick because everybody wants a commodore and there is more of them getting around then the lexens lol, grey is a nice colour better than the blue and brown, brown is fugly as lol
is it true that Lexens came out with no rev limitor and commodores didnt?? some1 said something about that just want it confirmed.

Apart from the Berlina options the busdget Lexcen GL has slightly different trim a different cluster, grill and door rubbers and seemingly built with a little higher quality control than most VN's the Lexcens are exactly the same (yes same tune, same limiter)
EDIT. I realised there was a lower spec Lexcen than the GL (I have the GL) witch is called a Lexcen and is pretty much an exective and doesn't have most of the stuff I listed above ^![]()

Thanx for clearing that up now i can set some people straigh when they brag about no limitor, and they say that they come out with LSD stock standard not sure on that 1 aswell.
With the exhaust does it have the rubbers on it now? cause i seen in one pic that there was no rubbers at the rear, i like the dual tip looks good.

no rubbers on the rear, is held on by metal mount welded to the exhaust. yeah i like the dual tip, havent seen them around much so i got one.
on the dash it says executive, but from what ive heard mine is a berlina. has different trim to every other VN i have seen, level 2 cluster and power mirrors. im sure there is some other stuff aswell but im at school so i cant really remember atm.
and it definately doesnt have LSD, does open wheelers. will light up the 215's with full throttle from a standing start though. im guessing this could be due to my shorter ratios cause of the 14inch wheel and 94profile tyre combo.
it also has a limiter, dunno what rpm mine is at but it hits it at about 62 or 63 km/h.
Thats what my old VN use to get out of 1st, then i put the other computer in my old car and as far as i know it was stock at the time now it has a foam tune, but from swaping it with a 24/11/89 computer it would get 80-85km/h out of 1st and 140ish in second, pretty sure the tune was stock cause i sent it to greenfoam but yeah, i also herd late 89 models was the best tune or something.
What performance mods you thinking of doing? there is alot of cheap things to do to make her go fast alot of info on here from other guys that have made VN-VPs hammer.
foamy tune, not sure what else.
80-85km/h was pushing it and only did it once or twice, still didnt feel like it was dieing in the ass tho. then again the motor did 375xxx and later on did a big end bearingso not recomended i guess lol.
mines go 200thou to go before the odo hits that =)
homusssssss
flexcen
your a ****ing plug mate.. jacky boy. when you making one about yours?
Nice Lexcen mate, same year as mine, but mines red. why did they have to bring them out with that nasty strip around the outside lol, i painted my bumpers to cover it. wots the diff with the dash badges? mine just says toyota, trips alot of ppl out lol.
If We All Drove An SS, Who Would Drive The Execs!
Nice looking VN mate, shame you dont have it anymore. But im sure you will love the stato when you get it
