My GEN3 LS1 Vp SS ute

recently i put a ls1 into my vp ute. auto. in the process of paintin it morphesus ve purple. and putting a vp ss front on it. here are some pics of the engine bay. and what it looked like before starting it.

Nice car there! i was going to do the same thing but the cost got to much in the end to put an ls1 in. cant wait to see this finished and maybe a 1/4.

car should look good when its finished,what mods did you have to do to put the ls1 in??as i am thinking of doing the same to a vs stateo.

my vp ute was half done, but i ended up putting a 5ltr back in, good to see it finished man

there not much work involved. just a bit of cash. so far including the engine. prob cost me about 9,000. thats including buying a complete vu ss for motor and bits and peices.and the conversion parts.

i already onto a front bar. driving lights and inserts. grill. $500. one of me mates has a front

Just out of interest, did you have any problems with any of the CRS conversion parts?

I assume you used the CRS engine mounts... What else? Did you use the CRS headers as well?

And lastly, which auto are you using? The 4 speed out the VP or a 4L60e from the VU? I can't see a throttle wire there so im assuming you used the 4L60e?

the OTR have a big curve to them. i custim made mine so it was flatter. so it didnt hit the bonnet. im taking it off and puting a pod in a custom intake box behind the headlight.

in the process of makin a turbo setup for the ute. does anyone have a stuffed turbo or know where i can get one so i can use it to make the manifolds?

isnt the otrcai better than a boxed pod?

yeah in newer cars like my vz it is. but theres not much room for air to get into the OTR in a vp.its pretty restrictive. however looks really good. lol
