Ahhh finally, I just got back from Queensland Transport. The car is registered to ME!

Wow, only $450 registration for SIX MONTHS. Dear god, it's a good thing I didn't buy a year's worth. >.< Passed the roadworthy with flying colours, too. I was pleased.

Also, I got to drive home from QT without plates on the car. YAY. ^________^

edit: I also just noticed that my Rep has me as a "statesman", and my car is a statesman! How convenient NOBODY GIVE ME ANY MORE REP!!

$560 a year isn't too bad. Vandalism, hey? Does claiming vandalism increase your premium?

Also, I went through Comminsure who put me through Allianz. So easy going through the Commonwealth Bank and having everything with the one company ^_^

at least ammi gives me market value automatically, then if my car is above average then they look into increasing the value (i put down 6 grand) im also paying by the month which is a tad more expensive....

lol @ one free windscreen a year. milk that for all it's worth.

does that include side windows also? :P

850 isn't bad for comp at all. I couldn't afford comp on my stato for a long while

maybe its because of the driving history/mods/accessories/etc. You will pay more for insurance through through aami, nrma, suncorp, etc... because they give you a much better deal then say, just cars or small independent brokers.

i thought just cars was part of aami?

aami are good if its your fault, they dont check the cars asmuch as most other insurer's (racv) but if your car gets written off by someone else the pay out is ****....

the thing i hate about just cars is every commodore driver that cant get insurance anywhere else with either their driving record/mods, so they think there covered..... the guys on full comp and 3rd party fire & theft are being stitched because the payout they receive is nothing compared to what its worth. plus they have no pay by the month option, all up front.

When you get hit by some noob woman and have a little ding in your VP and then get payed almost nothing and then a company you have nothing to do with steal ownership of your car and stop you from registering it again (THAT'S BULL****)
