Haha, just the single mate - lighter is better
lol, that's when you know you've reached the point that the brakes aren't going to help anymore
That's exactly it, greenfoamThe Statesman is turning into more of a hills/twisties car than a straight line dragracer. What with me never actually getting out to Calder Park. Next on my list of things to do will probably be some nice swaybars, and a strut brace.
That would be VERY interestingI perhaps need to steal hakhawk's scales one day. It would be worth the drive down to see his BMW.

cant wait to go for a run in this again, been yonks since ive been in it.
so you wouldnt be interested in bringing it to the heathcote day?
I'll be heading up to Hakhawk's joint on Thursday night to have to old girl weighed, and to see his BMW
Let's say the standard weight is 1533kg according to my manual. Is that with or without fluids? I don't know...
But let's take bets on what the old girl is gonna weighI'm saying... between 1400-1450kg. I'm going to be conservative
Who knows how far out the factory weight is!!
But either way, we'll have an accurate reading on Thursday night ^_^

My guess 1475.3![]()
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car
and 3 Dangerous non ABS VN's
I reckon 1500 will be about on the money, could even be more than that. I believe mine weighs about 1450 (at a guess) either that or it's making alot less power than it should be
mine was 1360, with 18s charger and 50kg in the boot of audio, so i would be 1290-1300, but fo the stato, hmm 1460kg just a stab![]()
~ VN POWER ~ Click the scales
I'm placing my bet of 1480. I'm not going to be as specific as 88greenvn.But I'm betting close to him

hahaha, this is going to be interesting ^_^
In the meantime, I busted a driveshaftOne of the CVs tore a boot, threw grease everywhere, and then proceeded to fill up with grit and sieze.
Not such a bad job changing them - I'll get some pics up once my pic host stops failing![]()
The allen bolts were done up SOOOO tight!! I could physically see the allen key bending 15 degrees while I levered it against the trailing arm and turned the wheel to undo the bolts. Then the key would snap back instantly into position. Damn good keys
I'll get around to changing the other driveshaft when I can. May aswell make them both fresh ones from a VS. The ride's a lot smoother now![]()

Well you need to stop cutting loops around the carpark down on Mornington Pier. We all know what you're like, Geoff. Don't try and deny it

Hahaha I was thinking of you as I was changing them ^_^ I nearly died when I first saw the key bend, but then as soon as the bolt was loose, the key straightened up. I was shocked!
Those things are invulnerable
I need to take the bolts back off one at a time tomorrow and loctite them. Loctite is my friend![]()

I haven't really had a good look through here yet Morton, but I hope to. You boys almost make me jealous I'm not in Victoria
Also someone let me in on these allen keys.. I've seen them mentioned a couple of times and I'm in need of a decent set or 2
WTB: mulberry VN interior parts
Good luck on finding a set made of good quality grade steel. Bunnings = fail
They have UNBREAKO stamped into them. And as Morton said 15 deg bend and no snap ting ting ting accross the floor in 3 bits. My dad gave me my set when I was a lad - almost 30 years ago now. oooow that makes me sound old![]()
