its a good thing anyway cos you dont need to buy more parts![]()
Jeez, I think you're right... this is a pic I found of a standard 304 pickup.
More chit-chat for me later, back to the engine for now!

Thanks man... I know it's a shame. I wish I could frame and mount it, cause I KNOW it's going to get filthy!

I know, it's WIERD isn't it!! I've done some asking around, and nobody's heard of a pickup that big in a VQ beforeEither way, I'm not complaining!!
Yeah, it appears to have been played with quite a bit at some point, given that the cam lines up backwards and the pickup is different
Cheers for the comment on the paint job. It took freakin' ages! I've made sure not to polish everything up though, so it still looks like a well-worn engine - just a clean one. I don't want everything to be mint, and it's not.
Hahaha I wish it was weightless. There's a fair way to go yet I think
That was still a beautiful looking motor ^_^ It's what inspired me to do mine!
Cheers man, that was 100% assembled and ready to drop in. Me and Hozy dropped the engine like that into the car about 20min after the photo was taken. No mucking about
Haha most of it's hidden under the grubby manifold. I've been careful to ensure the engine doesn't look too clean.
I know, it's beautiful isn't itshame you can't see most of the niceness in the engine bay. But it makes me happy to know it's all perfect
Damn straight you will. If I can get it running you may see it tonight!
Shhhhhhh you didn't see a thing
No cam for now, but it's not too bad heyI'm just going to leave it a stocker 'till something breaks, and when it NEEDS to be pulled apart, then I will.

Well the motor is BACK IN THE CAR!
Almost ready to run. Just letting the exhaust gasket cure, then double-checking everything and turning it on to run-in for a while as I put the interior back together. Then slap some wheels on, and it should be running by midnight!
