    Default HSV 'Top 30'

    Hi All,
I am new to this forum!
I have recently pulled my HSV T30 out of storage and taken a few pics to post up. The car is in original form, with all matching plates & HSV documentation.
The VN SV T30 was a model released to celebrate HSVs 5,000th car. It is renowned as a production milestone.

There were only 30 T30s ever made, and these were given to the 30 most successful HSV dealers in Australia, with a plaque on the dashboard showing the build number and the dealership it was given to.

Today, the T30 remains an icon of Holden and HSV. It is unknown how many of these cars are still in existance.

The T30 was based on the SV89, with several changes including :

    - Fuel Grey Leather Trim
    - Glass Sunroof
    - All 30 being Alpine White

    Engine changes included :

    - Big Bore Exhaust System
    - High Flow Air Cleaner
    - Relocated Fuel Filter
    - Recalibrated Engine Management Unit
    - Cold Air Intake
    - 85L Fuel Tank
    - Knock Sensor
    - Twin Gas Bonnet Struts

Transmissing and Suspension changes included :

    - Overdrive 4th engagement raised to 80 kph
    - Auto Trans modified to match increased power output
    - Special SV Panhard Rod
    - Modified FE2 Suspension including different front springs, revised geometry including increased castor, more compliant front strut mounts, gas dampers and larger front anti roll bar
    - Limited Slip Diff

    Exterior changes :

    - Single Slot Body Coloured Grille (as per SV3800)
    - Alpine White body & SV additions
    - Body Coloured Panel between Lights
    - Full Wraparound rounded body colour integrated front air dam and bumper
    - Front air dam has centre intake matching grille width flanked by smaller brake intakes, lower lip becomes swage like which expends up front wheel arch as for SV89
    - Sill mounted body colour side skirts flare downwards at front and rear wheel arches as for SV89
    - Rear air dam lower lip becomes swage line which extends up rear wheel arch to match side skirts and front air dam
    - Extended body colour rear bumper / lower air dam with three horizontal slots as for SV89
    - Moulded cut out in passenger's side rear air dam lower lip for exhaust exit
    - 5 Spoke Pentagonal Star pattern allow wheels in silver with exposed wheel nuts

    Interior Changes Include:

    - 4 Speaker Premium Stereo
    - Grey leather sports seats
    - Leather door trim sections
    - Head restraints
    - Power Mirrors
    - Power Windows
    - Cruise Control
    - Central Locking
    - Calais Headlining
    - Electric Sunroof

The T30 is an awesome car to drive, and taking it around the block today put a big smile on my face! I have pulled it out to test the waters for sale, so if anyone is interested please don't hesitate to contact me!

you sure its real? i think theyre meant to have a unique dealer name badge on the back, and another i was looking at had a red line below the trolley strips that continued onto the bumpers

The car in the link has 2 piece side skirts. You are correct. Credability is crumbling - AND it's school holidays. Hmmmm.

lol dont think school holidays would have much to do with it. it does look very much like a t30, just a few differences. could be a mockup. by the looks of it, it doesnt look like a very hard car to make a mock up of, for such a rare car. id be waiting to see build plates, interior shots and anything else to go with it before judging

The key would be the dash tag - it's unique to each car with the dealers name and number out of 30. Also they have a cirtificate to say that it is a T30.

    Right...

The car has original SV T30 plating under the engine bay, displaying the build number & total run.

I also have the original HSV Certificate, plus dealership papers... The plaque on the dashboard gives the dealership name, and build number, which matches the plates under the bonnet.

The car is Automatic, all T30s were.

To my knowledge the car hasn't been resprayed, and I don't have an answer for the lack of pinstripe... perhaps the black strips with pinstriping were removed or colour coded? I don't know enough about VN Commodores to make an informed opinion.

I can also guarantee you that this car isn't a fake... I'm neither school aged or interested enough to pretend to own a VN.

To those who asked, I am taking offers on the car. I have no real desire to sell it, however if the right offer was made I'd be happy to let it go. People can contact me over PM rather than post publically if interested.

Good to hear it's not fake. Pinstripes are the first to go. Badges next.

    Good luck on the sale.

    Hi,
I was going to post up the plaques, however I think that by doing so, it encourages people to make / sell fakes.

Interior and under the car pics are no probs, I'll do some when I get a chance

I personally think this should be moved to the "for sale" section.
