    Default Coil pack confusing-HELP

    Hey,
Im not sure whats wrong with my car,I have 2 coil packs and both r in good working order.
Yesterday it wouldn't start over so i thought i might swap the coils packs over and it started.I took it for a drive and it was working beautifully, then i took it home and left it.

Well...this morning i went out there to start it up and no go
the thing wouldn't start! So i swapped the coil packs over(back to the one i had on Yesterday-the one that it didn't want to start with and u wouldn't believe it IT STARTED!!!

Any ideas on what it might b?

Also the bolt that holds the wiring into the DFI module,is that an earth??

Replace your DFI module.... Since its series one replace the DFI module and coil pack off a series2, you wont look back. We blew about 8 coil packs and 5 dfi modules, finally replaced with series 2, and been going strong for over a year On the plus side i got really quick at replacing coil packs lol.

You must have a dodgy connection on the dfi. Very common just clean the connections all around and have a look all over the dfi for any dodgys

I think i found the problem, the connection on the loom was was dodgy, the lil pins that go into the DFI where way to wide and not a tight fit, i had another loom so i relocated the coilpack behind the strut tower with another connection and more wiring, seems to be fine had no problem yet, look in my car thread at the pictures of the sc14 set-up and coilpack relocation.

I had coilpark problems for agggges it was screwed but technically still worked, soon as the engine would rattle a little the coils would lose spark or w/e and lights out, definaately get an S2 one not only do they look better and last longer, you dont need to replace a whole row when one of them screws up

any one with s1 coil packs should upgrade the dfi and put in s2 coil packs best thing to do saves you less problems later as u may only need to change 1 pac instead of the whole lot.as the s1 gets way to hot and sends it into haywore mode lol..
