    Default My VN SS Series 1

    This is my vn ss i got about 2 months ago

    its a 1989 vn ss in phenoix red

    genuine 5 speed

    factory electric windows and mirrors

    factory electric boot release

    central locking with dead lock

    factory 3.08 LSD

    genie extractors twin cat into single 3 inch exhaust

    hd clutch

    nice looking ss mate
    looks nice and straight. paint looks good! is it faded at all?

    interior looks nice and clean.
    sounds like a good pick up!

    yeah the paint is faded pretty bad just polished the s**t out of it come up not to bad last weekend i pulled it all apart and started repairing all the little dints and scratches the its off to my work so i can respray it and have it ready for cruise for charity 5 next month

    this may seem stupid but is yours a 3.8litre 6cyl cause i thought you could only get the engine covers for the 5litre 8's

    Default vn calais series 1 89

    Hi im trying to find the idle screw on my calais i just replaced the coil pack as the other one was stuffed now when the car is in park it idles at 1500rpm when i shift into drive it drops to 900rpm so i need to drop the idle also ive got a memcal chip for it and also a stage 3 chip which one is the better on to install.

    can someone give me a hand im new to all this so apologies if i put it in the wrong place.

    it ran a 14.4 at 97 mph with no traction 1st and some of 2nd but i was happy with that should go alittle quicker if i use decent tyres

    future mods are
    the cars coming to my work next week so i can respray it will also paint the standard ss wheels so they look new again change the diff gears to 3.9s try go for high 13s

    next on the list is to put the sticker kit on (maybe the weekend) going to paint another bonnet and put 3 gauges on with a plug next to the brake booster so i can change bonnets when i need to

    SS is lookin good
    14.4 is a pretty decent/quick time for basicly a stocker must be nice and healthy

    LOL im a painter so it cost me a slab to use my bosses booth and about $1000 in paint,clear,sandpaper paint and clear is spies hecker it took me 2 weeks to do
