Just swapped my VN for a VP. It's a white 92 manual v6 sedan, looks stock but has a couple of nice exterior mods like dark tinted windows and clear tail lights, no mags yet but chasers with the super lows look ok for now. Performance mods are 2.5" sports exhaust, K&N filter, mild cam, forged pistons and chromolly rings, brass button clutch, and the foamy tune from the VN. I'm not sure of the exact power figure but it's a lot of fun
I'll put some pics up tomorrow when i get some batteries for the camera.
Cheers.
Matt.

The odometer has 355xxx but the engine was reco'd not too long ago. The previous owner was going to turbo it, but he wanted an auto for some reason and did a clean swap for my car.

Here are a couple i managed to get before the batteries died, i'll get some better ones as soon as i can.
The rear bar is getting painted right now and the springs are stock in the back, i have to pick up the rear s/lows today. I'm going to leave it looking as stock as i can and maybe put some nice rims on it but that's all for the outside. Future plans are a little sc14 blower (or a single turbo if i can get the $$) in a few weeks, then a set of gears for the @ss end.

I took some more pics today. I want to put a VP SS kit on it minus the boot wing and some nice genuine rims would be good. I'm trying to keep it all Holden and stock looking, but it's going to be hard.

Thanks guys! I really apreciate the supportive comments. I picked up a head unit for it yesterday so i have music now, not going big on the stereo just front and rear speakers and a single 12" sub out of the VN. I'm also getting my mates VS parcel shelf when he finishes his custom one.
The interior is nearly completely rid of the blue paint now, just a few more little bits to go. I don't mind the black and silver but the blue doesn't do it any good.
Does anyone reckon the VS wheel looks out of place in the VP? It feels good to drive but it looks a bit average.
Cheers.

Good luck finding an SS kit. Wankers on ebay will try and flog them off for about $600 just for the lips, more if you want the bumpers aswell.
Luckily i paid no more than $200 all up for mine (Stato side skirts cause its a wagon)

I wouldn't mind putting some mags on it but i would stick with genuine Holden items if i did, something like Internationals maybe.
Cheers.

Yeah, stockers is the way to go mateNo need for fancy kits and the like. Hard to get them looking really nice, too - although if the opportunity arises to get a cheapy, jump on it

If i was going to put a kit on it i would lean towards either a senator, gts, ss or clubsport kit. I won't be spending money on a kit or wheels for a while though, i'll make it look nice later, i really want to put either a s/charger or a single turbo set up on it before i even start thinking about other things. Right now it has heaps of power but forced induction really is where huge power gains are possible for less than the cost of building a n/a engine to get the same results, just my opinion so no offence intended towards the all-motor guys. Since the engine was rebuilt to be turbo'd it would be easier and cheaper for me to buy the turbo and manifolds or blower depending on what i end up using. Any pro's and con's on both would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

My mate has a 2.8 hilux with a blower on it and it is an animal, i get a chubby just sitting in it listening to that howl.........!

I was thinking of grabbing myself a little sc14 blower and just running 6-8 psi depending on the condition of it, maybe a small cooler that fits stealth(ish) if one comes up for cheap. I really want to retro-fit a factory s/charged ecotec and manual box, but that won't be until tax time next year
Cheers for the help/info/comments/advice etc. I take it all onboard trust me!

I put VS seatbelts and parcel shelf in it today, it was dark when i finished so i'll get some pics up tomorrow. I'm cheering, my best mate is going full house on his VS and upgrading the entire interior with either upper spec or custom everything and i get the left over stock VS gear
He's upgrading his dash and door trims soon, i wouldn't mind putting them in my VP. I imagine the door trims would be basic but how much customising would go into fitting the VS dash?

Just some new pics of where i'm up to with the stereo and parcel shelf. I'm only running the sub and front speakers at the moment, i have some 6.5" rears to go in aswell but that will be pretty much as far as i'll go with the tunes. The VS parcel shelf wasn't quite a direct replacement as i had thought but it's 99% perfect now, i just have to line up the middle seatbelt retractor properly and bolt it down, i think it looks neat though
Cheers.

I didn't take any pics but i just ported the $h!t out of my intake/throttle body elbow, i still have to remove the manifold and open that up as much as i can but that will be some time over this weekend. Now i have a question..... Is it possible to put an ecotec 6 throttle body on a Buick 6? The reason i'm asking is because the ecotec t/b are something like 4mm bigger than the Buick t/b and cheaper to buy secondhand than the 5.0ltr VN/VP ones that are only 1mm bigger than the ecotec's. If it's too much stuffing around to put an ecotec one on it then i'll just get a 5.0ltr one but the wreckers want an arm and a leg for them where i live
Cheers.
