Just stumbled across this place, seems like a bunch of people who know good cars when they see them.
I'm Scotty.
This is my 1992 VP Commodore Executive.
It's my first car, bought it last December for $2200.
Forgive the photos, I've gotten lazy and am yet to take photos with something other than my phone.
Basically the engine is stock.
The rims I changed around March this year, the VY Lumina rims came with the car but rubbed on full lock, so I got the 15" ROH rims to prevent the rubbing, not exactly the rims I'd like, but they were cheap and I personally don't think they look completely awful, I wasn't a fan of the Lumina rims anyway.
It's been lowered, I don't know how far, it was lowered when I bought it.
The bodykit I believe is styled on the VS Senator if I remember correctly, the paint and the pearlescent trim were both there when I bought it also.
I recently bought a 2.5" sports exhaust for it, but I've spent most of my money on it towards the stereo for it.
The stereo system is as follows:
Pioneer Head Unit [50Wx4]
Pioneer 6" speakers (door) [220W]
Pioneer 6x9" speakers (rear) [300W]
Pioneer Mono channel amplifier [800W]
US Audio 15" Subwoofer [1000W]
It's pretty basic, but it sounds beautiful.
I'm going for a single brand system but the Sub was cheap and I couldn't afford a Pioneer one back in December when I bought the one I have, I'm looking at getting either one 15" or two 12" Pioneer subs for the boot and also a 4 channel amp for the interior speakers.
I'm also beginning to save for a new car, I'm considering either a VS Caprice Series 3, or a VT Calais regardless of model I'm getting a V8. Screw the fuel crazed morons preaching four cylinder cars.
But that's basically it.
I apologise,
1. For making this a half 'My Ride', half 'introduction' thread and
2. For giving a description like I have, my knowledge on cars while basic is still quite limited.
Thanks anyway guys.
Hope you like it.

nice vp mate!, welcome
Looks good man, nice VP. Any more plans for it or just leave it til you get your new car?
Nah I'm just gonna leave it, mainly because the engine has a miss in one of the cylinders, and I'm fed up trying to find a solution to it. I've replace spark plugs, leads and coil pack, plugs and leads didn't help, the coil pack made it run even worse, I'm just at the point where I'm fed up and just want a clean slate to work with, I plan on putting a lot of time, energy and love into my next car making it beautiful.
Before I sell the VP I'll rip the stereo out of it though, because in a car like a 92 VP, a stereo isn't going to increase the value enough to make it worth keeping in the car, and it's worth around $1300 so I'll keep it as a good foundation for a system in my next car.
The VP is the kind of thing, as much as I know it's a ****box, it's still my first car, and I absolutely love it.
Photo update.
Decided to remove the side and rear decals on it today.
While I was at it I also took some photos of my stereo components.
Head Unit (That's not a scratch in the middle there, thats the reflection of my bracelet.)
6x9's
Amplifier (Screwed to the back of the middle passenger seat.
Subwoofer (In need of a clean)
I also have 220W Pioneer 6' Speakers and Pods to be mounted on the front doors.
