hey guys, heres my newest toy;

Model: VN Calais
Colour: imperial blue over neutral silver
Bodykit: Stock, with a vq caprice lip.
Engine Type: 304 v8, dual fuel.
Engine Mods: havent put it on but the cold air intake is there from the ss and a Greenfoam tune
Power: 144.8 rwkw
Exhaust: 4 into 1's, high flow cat, 3 inch cat back straight through exhaust.
Gearbox: stock slipping automatic. new one getting built very shortly.
Diff: fresh LSD, 3.73 diff gears
Brakes: crap ones?
Suspension: king spring superlows all round
Wheels/Tyres: 18 inch WM Caprice, 235/45 rubber.
Interior: dash mat
Stereo: JVC headunit, amped soundstream splits up front, alpine 6 inch 2-way speakers in the rear

well there she is. the reason i got her is mainly because she is on gas (waits for stealthy to tell me to remove it..), and because of how clean it is. i know this car was well looked after (previous owner was middle aged and used it as his family car). has an awesome note to it. in general i fell inlove with the car as soon as i saw it, and i plan to have her for a while longer than my other cars.

haha its not worth swiping. there isnt much of the bodykit left on the ss.
i like the way the calais looks at the moment so its staying that way for now

did you really have to bring that up? hahaha

yes, it got towed 5 hours after purchasing it. the ignition seized up out of no-where. was fun trying to get the car onto the truck with the steering lock on though.

my mate has a vq caprice, but my bootlip seems a bit different to his. ill have to investigate next time i see him.

Theres a few types. Mine and yours are the standard VQ Caprice bootlip. The HSV Caprice (and statesman) one has a sharper edge and the HSV letters on the righthand side.

Then theres the SV90 one with is the same with as the bootlip (doesn't wrap around the 1/4s)

Needs to be lowered asap, and paint the fuel tank silver with black straps to make it look tougher.
BTW its imperial blue/ asteroid silver. I had one the same colour

haha i have to drop the car back off to get a few spots on the car resprayed due to stone chips and cracks in the spoiler etc, so might go for the photoshoot after thats done, should be done by like wednesday or so next week if i drop it off on monday.

haha no you may not just have the rims. but they are always for sale at a price :P

wont be ditching the gas, thats the reason i got it.
and basically im getting rid of the ss because it needs paint etc and while its not on gas im finding it too hard to try and save. so its going. plus the calais is much cleaner and comfier.
