    Talking My new pride and joy VP SS

    Hey new to these fourms..
    im 16, 17 in november get my P's i live in perth,
    Just brought myself a 93 VP SS, with a senator bodykit on it its white i know not very exciting but when i save up some moneys ill change all that.
    it dosnt have many mods i think just the exhaust system and chiped
    it was a X police car its done 200 000km's got it for 6 thous.
    my last car was a mini got it when i was 15 dont know why i just liked it, (at the time) when i realised this is **** driving a 998cc
    Im replacing the steeringwheel as soon as i can and buying 18"'s (CV8/R MONARO 18 INCH) in the next week or so..
    ill try to get more pics of it up as soon as i can,
    i would like to start upgrading the engine as soon as possible i dont really know what to do so any help is appreciated, im a apprentice do sont suggest upgrades that will cost me a arm and a leg tops of 2grand thanks

    welcome, nice buy there.
    The link to the pic doesnt work though..
    Firstly I would get the steering +suspension done up, nolathane rubbers,etc.
    Then think about more power..not much use havn lotsa power if it wont stay on the road.lol

    Looks nice Yeah, body wise, lower it a about an inch or 2...Engine wise and everything else, I'm not the person to ask ^_^ do what he ^^^^ said

    hey man i put the picture on probably this time sorry try it now
    it has pirelli tyres on it now but the rear ones are bald coz me and my dad did a burnout on them when i got it
    i ordered rims for it with tyres in the package so they will prob be hell cheap ones. but when they go up ill invest in some better ones thanks for posting but ey

    would be awesome if it still had the SS kit.

    get some clear side indicators anyway cause there a big improvement over orange

    awesum car for p'plater..good choice. jus dont follow p plate trend and go putting some big sticker on back..looks s*** house!!

    ditch the trim on the doors and front guards, get the vt indicators and if you can get it get the vp senator fog lights to go with the front bumper. grill looks good by the way

    looks good mate, but isnt this just a BT1?

    cos when i was looking for a vp ss i went out and looked at one that i thought was a vp ss and had the bodykit and foglights but stelthy came with me and looked on the plate in the engine bay and it said BT1 (excop car)

    im not the commodore guy so im prob wrong, just asking if its a real ss... cos why would you change the bodykit? or just a BT1?

    but besides all that.. nice looking car.. love the rims too

    Technically its still an SS, as thats what they were based off. They usually have the kit removed before the police take delivery.

    hi mate listin i own 3 holdens 2 vs,s an one vn an i lowered 2 of them an have found a good way to lower them without having your springs dropping out when jacking the car up iused these shoks you can get from pedders there desigen for utes there alot shorter an it will take your car to the legal limit the only problem is its a bugger to park in car parks cuz of clearance i put a aero body kit on my vn which looks great have a look at them im pretty sure you can get em for the vp also like other people have said to you aswell get the car to handle really well before you do the motor there is no point making it go quick if it cant handle the spead i put an extra 2 inches on a frame on my vs an man it gave me more camber on the road i also added a custom air intake that pushes the nose down way more when you get the high speeds up i got that idear from a celica hatch i owend which was stock an i was blowing vl's off with it only cuz it handled so well i could hit a nintey degrre corner at 100k's an it wouldnt sqeel at all if you want any art work for the body later contact me i do tribal art for cars i have just started again im in nsw so if you like the designs i can send you the template to spray ur car with anyway if you have any questions or if anyone needs cars i seel them through a yard an privatly i have a vs,ss which im seeling now its a 5 litre with a lumpy cam its a x cop car with everything still in it this thing really goes hard i have a six in the same model aswell which is also a cop car but the only thing that is in that is the chip trans an diff the rest was changed i have found the gas oil struted adjustable shocks to be the best if anyone wants a value on a car or anything like that just message me i will have my own web page soon set up soley for perfomance cars i will let you all know when i do it take care all an i hope you get your car the way you want jarred

    p.s i will post some pics of my babies soon so you can all look also man try what i said with the shocks because you wont have as much of a problem getting over bumbs as long as the dampner is hard an you go slow i have a house brick of clearence on my vs an its ok as long as i dont hit the bump hard also lol in a normal car if you wana get over a speed bump fast wait till your front tires hit the bump boot it then touch the brakes what that does is lift the suspension on the front then throws it down to thr front when you touch the brakes it takes some learning but i can hit one at 70ks so far doing it that way it all has to be timed exactly right though anyway enough driblle take care all
