here it is, another vn to grace the family, my sister gets her licence late next year, and has been looking for a first car. she managed to score this vn for just under $700 on ebay.

genuine ss kit, v6 auto, mags, lowered a bit, been resprayed at some stage. needs some bsaic body work in a few areas, mainly some scratches and a few small dings. so far engine needs a waterpump, oil pressure sensor, rocker cover gaskets, and probably just a good service. starts and idles fine, has a slight tick, but will see how it goes after a oil change and such.

overall, i think she got a great starter car, it looks good, hopefully goes well(only 194000ks on the clock, whether thatrs true or not).

damn things are multiplying, thats 3 vns now, plus the olds vr and my vp and bmw.



anyone know what seats these are from? ive never seen that sort of material in a vn before.(yes, we will be tossing the white center console and dads stealing the white gauges)





anyone got a vp garnish and lights for sale? gotta get rid of that chick badge thing and the crusty p plate left overs. oh and the useless hsv badge



going to get a new front bumper for it and refit the skirt properly.

yeh, dad got it a while back, havent done s2 manifold yet, been busy sorting out other stuff.

so theyre vx seats eh, not bad. shame theyve got some smoke burns in them. will have to get some vx headrests. its got the same back seat too.

and yeh, the silver rusty ones been gone for a year or so now, sent it to its death, scrapmetal man after morton and i took to it with a grinder to fix his vp.

this thing still isnt on the road, sister almost has her p's, and we're getting close to roady.

we've only been doing dribs and drabs on it here and there, but have been getting a bit done lately.

the motor from lowagz v1.0 is getting some new bits(welch plugs, sump gasket, inlet manifold gasket, just the basics while its on the engine stand), and will go in soon. dad ripped the old motor out today, not sure if we'll ever put it back in, depends how long sister owns the car for.

got some paint for it the other day, so we can paint new front bumper, boot and anything else that needs touching up.

i swear, must be something about this house, the damn things multiply!! it happened with the wagon, it happened with the bmw, now its happening with sisters car...



her boyfriend bought the calais last monday, drove it home from melbourne, went fine, then around town it overheated, fan wasnt kicking in, he bought it to our place to have a look at, and the motor seized in the driveway!!

so dad ripped sisters old motor apart to see what the metallic knocking was(this is why we replaced it with lowagz v1.0's motor). turned out the balance shaft bearing was rusty and worn, making the noise.

so the balance shaft is now removed, and its got a few new gaskets, and is going in the calais.
