This here is me rig..92 Vp Calais bought for only 3500. Have only had it for month so mods coming along slowly. LEt us know wat u think and any ideas..cheers guys.

Engine: 5.0l V8 with single 3' catback system with straight thru muffler.
Suspension: I think standard calais (fe2 maybe) needs refresher.
Wheels: 18 ROH rims

Mods done: Big service including engine oil and filter change, new 8.0mm leads, new plugs, new dizzy cap and new rotor. Cold air intake kit on the way.... Cut and polished bonnet and roof as was badly faded when bought. Came up pretty good.

Future mods: Paceys into dual cats, twin 2.5 merging into single 3' with resy.
New suspension..lowered pedders springs and shocks, also want to renew all control arms and bushes.
Eventually full respray, including new bumper( old one has got ripped )
Need to fix brakes as squeaky and faulty. ( new pads, new fluid and test the vacuum system for leaks)
Full engine rebuild later on.

Below couple pics showing damage to front bumper and also roof. Bonnet was that bad but cut and polished and it turned out really good. Recent photos show the roof after cut and polish as well.

lookin good man she dont look as bad as u made it out 2 b haha definatly needs the calais grill back on it tho but dont look bad with the 1 thats on it.

haha yeh few bits of pieces here n there need fixing. Big key mark on rear quarter panel near fuel flap needs attention. dont know wats the best solution?? and need to find calais front bumper.. not much luck yet. Anyone help out there..

Also your looking for an SS front bumper, Calais' bumpers are the same, just without the lip.

Nah there pretty hard to find. Most people want to sell the full kit, not just a front lip.

Fibreglass are ****. He might aswell buy the Full SS kit for the amount of head**** he'll get using the fibreglass one.

My kit 4 the VT is from SSV and it fits nicely onto the car with no troubles wat so eva.

You'd be the only one. Anyone i know who's had fibreglass has had to do a ****load of rework to get it to fit.

Thats true bout the plastic being easier 2 work with but the moulds that SSV use seem 2 b better fitting than alot out there that i know of n thats y i bought mine from them rather than bein local aswell.

anyone have a rough estimate on price? jus need front bumper with the lip...dont want the one with fog light inserts.. and duz neone know roughly wat freight would cost? Duz perth have anywhere i could get one from coz i know where i live theres bugger all...atm neways

Expect to pay about $200 if you can find one for sale on its own. Expect to pay around 600 if your buying all the lips (then onsell the side skirts that you don't need)

found some spare time today and removed spoiler and debadged some badges from rear. Didnt buy wax and grease remover so lil bit of residue still left..but will buy some tomorro make it a clean job. I rekon looks smoother with no spoiler..luv the spoiler-less look. Jus quick question wat duz everyone use to cover spoiler holes?? ive jus covered them with black electrical tape for now..but need permanent fix.

Hay mate i saw u post on my cars thread and thought i'd take a look at ures.. and i must say.. not a bad score u have here with ures... i must admit the first thing i would have done is remove the spoiler, i personally think that it makes the car look cheap.

f Jus quick question wat duz everyone use to cover spoiler holes?? ive jus covered them with black electrical tape for now..but need permanent fix.

my friend took the spoiler off his VP calais and he got some little plastic plugs... im sure he got them from bunnings.. but dont take my word for it... and ure lucky cos the plugs where gray.. which would blend in with your colour until you can fill the holes in and get her sprayed....

My new car alarm arrived to day..bought cheap off ebay for $40. Comes with all usual security features. Main reason i bought it is the remote is the car key as well..Like the new cars have. SO will install that once i get my central locking issues sorted..hopefully wont b too far away.

And also got my cold air intake kit..!!!OTR style. Pick it up tomorro when i get my brakes checked. She'll b sweet!!

went got my free brake check. they reckon i need rotors machined and new pads. Can c wearing on rotors. For 490 bucks!!! rip off o normal?

machined.. for that kinda money ill jus buy new front and rear rotors and pads. Probably get it cheaper too. Any good deals goin on. ill get slotted for fronts but dunno bout rear and jus good quality pads. New brake fluid as well...but gotta wait for funds man!!

My cold air intake kit doesnt come with the lower half of the air box!! And my car didnt come with one.. s***. No wreckers in town got one. Anyone know where to get one cheap. jus the lower half!! any wreckers in Perth that can ship to me....
