haha go the intake, i reckon it looks cool. but id say diycj the pod, co a Panel with VS C.A.I or atleast enclose the pod and run an intake pi[e to behind the bumper, its doing nothing in the current setup.

clear side indicators and ditch the mud flaps would be next steps. nice vp, plenty of potential

Do what with the pod? lol

Breathes pretty loud how i have it now.

The picture with the bonnet scoop is the oldest. The mud flaps are gone and there is no spoiler anymore.

The first 3 pics are most recent and that's how it looks for now. In 2 weeks things will change haha

your pod setup is just sucking in hot air from the engine therefore decreasing performance, consider getting a C.A.I like i have:

    Or enclose the pod:

cant find a pic, do a search

    Ah okay.

I can't enclose this pod in the original box cause its too long and doesn't fit.

The bonnet scoop was just for looks as i really liked it and was for sale down the road from me. In about 5 months when I'm onto my greens it's gonna go back on.

Well yesterday i did a lil research on what CAI is and stuff like that. I was thinking of just making one outta aluminium but will it get too hot?

In my opinion that bonnet scoop looks rubbish, it has no place on a V6 such as this

the alloy intake heats up when stationary but cools down more than the plastic ones when moving... i got an alloy cai and thats what ive noticed anyway.. maybe you could modify an ls1 one to fit your v6... also not a fan of the bonnet scoop! sorry but it would onlt be good if it was practical like on a carby 8 where the filter was there

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I just bought a set of spats but they are for a VQ so.... for sale... vq wheel spats.

I've found a set now (finally) for VP. Reaching pretty high prices but i'm gonna look at them.

have a look in my ride thead to so how i've enclosed my POD and created a CAI at the same time. shielding the exhaust manifold also helps to keep the intake pipe cool

Well after a few days of driving the car the way it is now enclosed with another pipe, the car seems to be running a little better. The alloy pipe isn't getting as hot as it used to which is a good sign.

Worked on the car some more today.

Changed the blinkers to oval white ones.

    Thermo-wrapped the intake.

Rocker covers changed the other day.

I'm sick of working on it haha

No wonder you're sick of working on it.. nothing so far would have made all that much difference

You're taking steps in the right direction though

Well it looks cleaner now. Got a nice look to it. And it goes alright for now. Not working the engine cause ill just buy an 8 once I'm off my greens.

However my dad knows some people race V6's in the old holden vs ford comps i think. Gonna find out about throwing one of them in the car and the costs.

And btw - to recondition myLSD with 3.45 gears $880. We will be fitting the diff also.

Today we decided to throw the LSD in the car. We didn't change the ratio so its has the 3.08 ratio still in. Car goes very well. No noises coming from this diff. Few hours work paid off. Few new rods and arms and bushes changed and away we go

Well I haven't been around much for a while. Busy with school and homework and stuff.
But I think i won't be around for some more time. Had an accident last night as a friend of mine drove up the rear of my car.

The best kind of extractors - cheap! Nobody should ever pay more than 200 for extractors on a V6 I think
