Hey. Dunno if this is the right spot to post but yea. Im Nathan. Im an apprentice mechanic for Victory Ford so if you have any Ford Q's for me I should be able to answer them lol. I live in Murwillumbah. Anyway now for the important stuff...

I own a 1991 VN Commodore S 3.8 auto. Its my daily driver which im slowly doing up as funds allow. So far Ive added clear tail lights, Gates Racing blue serpentine belt & Im working on the sound system at the moment. Not to distant future plans are to lower it, window tint & supercharging it as a mate offered me everything I need to supercharge it including an intercooler for $400 so ill snap that up as soon as I have the cash. Oh also have LED parking light globes .

Also have a VP Commodore thats my parts car. Was going to do it up but has a broken LHR stabiliser bar mount. It has a shift kitted auto I want to put in the VN, 2.5in exhaust system I want to use but Im not sure if it'll fit cause I think the VP has IRS. Also has an expensive woodgrain steering wheel, brand new tires & windscreen & heaps of other spares as its a nearly complete car. Oh & it has NO oil leaks belive it or not.

My old man has a VP S Ute 5.0L with a shift kitted auto, 3in exhaust with one cat & one muffler, Pacemakers extractors, CAI etc etc.

looks like its a good project,

my advice, remove the red strip, and put some hub caps back on it or fit some classy rims, i reckon the HSV rims are ace and would suit it (my hsv SS came with a set of 16s)

if you want a bit more go message greenfoam and get a chip off him

and if you decide to supercharge it remember that if you run it un-tuned you will be replacing the headgasket.. also the PVC needs to be changed otherwise you will boost into your crankcase and blow a random seal out...

ive got a ford question, Why did ford decide "1cm above the cyclinder head or close enough" is a accurate means of setting the timing chain? on the old sohc I6? :P

Haha VP SS kit is partially fitted so car might be getting painted soon depends if I wanna keep the blue.

As for supercharging not sure what im gonna do now. Talking to a mechanic at work about it & he reckons theres really no need to supercharge it just fit some Mitsubishi 380 injectors, chip it, gut the cat, & give it a good 'tune' (like quality plugs, leads etc etc) & you'll be laughing.

Setting the timing chain?? What do you mean? Are you doing a head gasket in one?

Wow ive jut realised how old these pictures are.

Since then with the interior ive added my woodgrain steering wheel, Autometre throw-over seat covers, Pioneer head unit, Pioneer splits in the front, Kenwood 6in in the parcel shelf, Kenwood sub in purpose built Kenwood box & Rockford Fosgate amp.

Mechanically it has extractors, 'modded' cat, 2.5in exhaust with single Lukey muffler, Supercharged V6 CAI & chipped.

Exterior Ive aquired three 17in rims (as seen on the front. If anyone has this style for sale let me know). I put the black bonnet off my parts VP on it for shits & giggles....A lot of people like it but a couple of people dont. Give me your opinion.

Suspention wise it now has thicker front sway bars & heavy duty bushes & ultra low Kingsprings. I have superlows for the back but need to get the appropriate lowered shockies first.

    Ill upload some pics tomorrow.
