    Default Cúl's VP Berlina!

    Heyya,

I figured I'd post a few pictures of my stockish VP Berlina... The car had been garaged for some time, and was undergoing a few minor works before I had planned to sell it. I had to bring it out of retirement after I somehow managed to do this on my way home from my mates house one January morning *crys*...

Formally known as a VX - SS Commodore:...

    My VP Berlina:

    MODS:
The Car is ralitively stock, with the exception of a few things, wheels and tinted windows being the obvious, it was lowered by the previous owner. Currently has a 2 1/2" exhaust on it, and a cold air intake. Setup to run on GAS, and has a loud stereo

    Looks pretty neat mate.

Must feel a bit crap when you're used to driving an SS though.......

    But I likes it.

Yeah I love the loud stereo its good for playing my loud "doof doof music" around those unfortuante enough to drive riceburners.

The gas setup isnt too bad, it's setup to run on duel fuel but I reckon it runs and preforms much better on the real stuff... Unfortuantly the use of gas limits your ability to do much with the engine interms of proformance enhancements.

Its not much, but it runs really well considering the 320k Km's its traveled. Its no VX SS but it handles pretty well too :-)

    Still to come:
New Exhaust, either another 2 1/2" or a 3" from the cat back (old one needs replacing). Possably new wheels and tyres. HSV style grill.

Ah yeah but no matter how mint a VP is the silver on the door trims is allways gone makes you wonder how many days or hours that lasted out of the factory

Yeah the paint on it is still in pretty good nick, I would imagine it would have been resparyed at some stage in its lifetime... The bonnet has some stone chips that need to be attended to, and some of the paint on the boot is starting to crase... I endevour to touch these up some time soon.

Still tossing upt he whole, lowering, bigger wheels combination... I had a look at the wheel spats too, there is a maroon set on ebay

How do you feel about the look of the VP having owned one of the most popular later models also (VX SS), You would get a kick out of SS Hunter the Movie

I actually dont mind them at all, I am quiet a fan especially of that era / model utes. A mate of mine had ute which was done up quiet nicely... (was hell fast too).

Sweet looking car dude. I have developed quite a liking to VNs/VPs with VT SS rims on them.

    So sad about the SS!
But you have a very nice VP that can give you great enjoyment. Were you able to salvage the motor and gearbox from the SS?

What sort of rims were you thinking of getting? Because those SS rims look great on it!
