    Default Anaru's 1k VG Ute

Thought i might post up pics of my daily driver.

Bought this VG with no registration for $1000. Needed something to drive while my riced up corolla is off the road.

    It is a 3 seater manual 3.8L v6.

A tidy up, service, general fix up (replacing the universal joints on the drive shaft Etc.) which was very cheep since it was all done by be me and a mate.

Got it over the pits second time with the ute running perfectly by then.

    Before

    After

    Some modifications that came with the car;

    VS upgraded front end
VX Clubsport front bar with driving lights
    SS Rims (?)
    LSD
Upgraded brakes including drilled slotted and vented rotors
    Lowered springs
    Autotechnica steering wheel
    Steel chequer plate floor mats

and some other things that I cannot recall at the moment.

I'm glad to share and hope you guys like

Well its definatly a credit to you getting it too look as good as it does now after seeing those before pics. Good buy though, a manual conversion costs nearly $1000 on its own. Looks much tidier now. Hows the panels, they look a little beaten up in the photos but it might be just the reflections in the photo too.
The only other little think i recon would look good is a leather shift boot gaitor.

Hey good eye! I forgot about that, yeah it has some guard damage on the drivers side quarter panel. its down on the list of the 'To Do'.

Looking at getting a rear bar, duel exhaust, side skirts and a infill kit for the tub/tray.

This will be a long time since my corolla (I Love hot hatches) is on the top of the priorities list.

Yeah I may have to change it to a 2 seater with the normal centre console since the handbrake cable recently snapped, and for the life of me I cant find a replacement. (Handbrake is on the right for three seater utes)

If anyone can find me one, I will send you a six pack of beer right to your door anywhere in Australia. Not Kidding

Yeah had lot of offers for 5/6 grand. Not looking to sell cause not really fussed about making a 'quick buck'. I've grown fond of this car

Christ mate. You got yourself a bargain.

Neaten the body up a little bit (just the dints/scratches and stuff) and you're set.

I reckon the front bar looks alright.

found a cheap rear bar, infill kit, flared arches and side skirts so chucked them on, few gaps here and there but its only my daily drive until I get my ricebucket corolla back on the road, so I don't really care.

Crappy phone picture, I'll get some better ones when I give her a well needed clean + buff!

Man, get better pics of the kit. I hate that kit, but i seem to like it on your ute! Although maybe thats because the front bar looked so out of place by itself lol

Yeah the front bar by itself looked horrendus but with the few extra touches its come together pretty nicely. Had a quick squiz at those before and after photos, really nice work. Definalty a great pick up.
