gday guys, just thought id share with you my first car, its a 1991 vn executive v6,
i picked it up friday night and so far have just removed the lourve from the back, painted my front grill, given it a good clean in and out and taken of the mud flaps.
the more serious mods will come later this year as i am limited with funds atm.
hope you like
tell me what you think
cheers
Damn I want some hub centers where would I lay my grubby mits on them
You cant get better then that for a first car, very clean.
cheers guys, the venetian is at home, thinking about selling it. just gotta get those little black things of the back. Has any one seen the chrome ring things on the outside of ceptors before? just wonderin if there common or not.
cheers
yeah they are chrome dress rings. Im fairly sure you can still get them new at auto places.

Very cool looking VN Lachie, pretty much the look I want with my newly accqired VN exec, although lowered.
The dress rings I had on my first VN back in the early 90's they look good on the 15's.
Have you thought about removing the rest of the badges or ya going top leave them
Dazz
mate thats nice, cant go wrong with a white vn exec with black bumpers on ceptors
i say lower it (supers in the front, ultra's in the rear), paint the garnish black (or get a berlina one) and remove badges.... all little things and the thing will be perfect
Wish i had such a nice 1st car![]()
haha cheers guys, padrickzz u got it spot on, gonna lower it probably sla all round, definatley gettin aberlina rear garnish, but i dunno about de badgin the back, how are they stuck on and if i remov them is there a chance the paint will be a different colour
possible, some are some aren't..... if you take them off then give that section a cut and polish![]()
hmmm dunno i will think about it :P
:update:
Since that post i have taken a trip to kilsyth pick a part and picked my self up a berlina rear garnish, new sunvisors (custom mirror thanks to a vt commo) a new ashtray and light cover, veerryyy happy with the rear garnish and will post picks up when i get time.
This friday i pick up my new steeringwheel, as i just couldnt hack that boat wheel anylonger. After that all i intend to do for a while it tint the windows, and try and get myself a cheap exhaust.
P.s i saw a 2.5 or3 inch not to sure, exhaust at comm wreck in kylsyth already removed at the cat hanging on the diff, how do u get it out? just manipulate it or do you have to out it on a hoist?
:update: couldnt wait till friday to pick up my steering wheel, put it on last night along with a new air filter and radiaitor cap (was leaking) hopefully this week ill get down to bunnings and get some bendy piping so i can make my own cai haha should be fun.
Any updates
Couple of ideas, take the stickers off the bumpers, get a Berlina (black) boot garnish, and tint the tail likes abit, debadge the holden on the boot aswell, not to sure on the chrome surrounds on the wheels doesnt look right, but nice car mate, my old one had a white grill looks abit tougher, good job.

just thought id update you guys on whats hapeneing, haha
i have just been mainting the car for the past few weeks,i noticed a leak in the boot and the guy i bought the car of got a new light for the roady, so it was obviously comin from the seal of the new light,so i thought i would take the chance to take all my lights of and tint them while fixing the leaking issue therfore killing two birds with one stone haha
now i need the windows done

haha maybe not, i took the REAR lights of haha as well as the berlina granish, just to match them all up, when i get some money i think i will get some 17" VR clubby rims, what do you think?
i will also get a tint, lower it and an exhaust but thats a long way of :P
cheers
stockies look better than any other rims i've seen. my old car came on stockies, bought new rims, ended up putting the stockies back on 6 months later
you should lower it first!
you've gotta get good rims though, a nice set of vx ss rims, after you lower it would look nice.
addicted to commodores
yeah i wil definatley lower it first, i am worried though about buyin rims that look to new for the car, i think the vr ones suit well.
nooooooo dont get rims, leave it on stockies![]()
hey rick, jst wondering if you have painted your bumpers? i am thinking about it because mine are faded and look horrible up close, if you have what piaint did or should i use
loooks mint man, put a big 80lt drop tank in it, loose the pin stripe and black strip, de-badge it...
and slame it on cepters with whitewalls
will look mint (bt1 style)
