    Default Measurements

    Does anyone here know the Diameter of the stock TB the stock intake pipe and stock MAF

    Because im changing my intake pipe i need to know there exact diameter to get piping just a lil bigger to fit them

    3 inch for all
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

    3" is 76mm. however i'm fairly sure the OD of the TB is 80mm. but will need to double check tommorow

    i just dont wanna get pipe too small or too big ect

    if your getting alloy pipe it'll only come in 3" i've not seen it in 80mm. you would need to find some silicone joiners that will go from 76-80mm

    im doing exactly what he did:

    Steel piping Air intake

    pretty sure he didnt need 76 - 80mm silocan joiners

    if you look at the pick you can see that the silicone joiner that goes onto the MAF is flared. you can also see that the hose clamp around MAF fitting has less exess hanging out the end (then the hose clamp on the pipe end). if he hasn't used a reducer then he's stretched a 76mm straight joiner to suit but i've not managed to do that

    oh ok so i will need a 76 - 80mm joiner from the intercooler pipe to the Tb and the same from the pipe to the maf correct?

    i guess it doesnt matter if its a few mm to big cus i can just tighten the clamps right down to seal it all up

    Look up Silicon Reducer, it reduces from one size to another for example 100mm down to 80mm, its molded like that.

    no idea mate, go on ebay see if u can find a reducer to fit, check the autobahn site i reckon they would have sizes there

    wudnt the reducer have the same effect as joiner from smaller to bigger and a reducer wud be from bigger to smaller ect

    haha yeah i think we are, well that solves the joiner problem even if ther a lil bigger like i said b4 i can just tighten em down ill do check out repco see if they have better intercooler pipe cus supercheap n autobarn had crap all

    fair enough, u should just run one piece of intercooler pipe, instead of the stainless pipe

    he said he did use intercooler pipe just ive had a look at what them auto stores had i cant make it totally from all intercooler pipe its too long and the bends are wrong, that one long peice of intercooler pipe strecches right from the filter to the tb he had to put half the pipe in the silocan

    yeah ive tried using the intercooler pipe from tb to the maf but the bend is a bit too much off so only way is to have the straight pipe with the silcan joiners, which is a pain
