all depends...if the car is in over all good condition and alls that is wrong is teh engine then why not put another engine in itand seell it? you would make a few extra $$$

sedan 4spd auto, decent interior condition, exterior has one crack and one big scratch (thanks to living in geelong),

well its for a mate, the cars in decent cond just a crack thanks to ********s with trolley poles, interiors fine,

not to sure about the engine, just got told by my mate he's blown his engine and he needs to get rid of it,

and he really cant be ****ed changing engines and shit,

At the wreckers you may get $500 but you'll have to pay for the tow....sell privately complete maybe $1000. Sell as parts unfortunately is a pain in the butt- it would take about 6 months of advertising, answering queries/phone calls, waiting for people who never turn up, haggling over what to charge, storing all the bits etc etc.
It doesn't look too bad....so maybe I'd ask $1400 and see what happens but again you may have to wait some time to sell it.
If it was my car I'd throw another motor in it....quick...maybe cost $700 but it is then much more saleable or keepable.
