    Default 5.0l engine freshen up

    hey guys got a vs 5.0l

    im thinking of going just for sum basic mods

    cam

    stronger valve springs n push rods

    also engine vrs full gasket kit

    machine the heads

    stronger head gasket

    top end gaskets

    double row timing chain

    So what is the question? Is there any reason why you are changing all those engine components?

    yes there is ive got a leak coming from the rear main seal

    so i thought while i got the engine out

    il do it properly

    For starters VRS gasket set is a valve regrind gasket set and is basically just your top end gaskets including head gaskets.
    What you'll need is a full gasket set which includes all gaskets and seals.
    i'd consider throwing a cam in and make it worth your while if your doing the timing chain and shaving the heads

    dude its a 5.0l if you put a new rear main seal in it is still going to leak...they leaked from new
    Float like an elephant sting like a tree clubsport hits what doug does'nt see
