Leaking tranny oil

My mate has a VS auto and its been leaking heaps of oil (like has to fill it up just to move it into the yard) he said its coming from around the bellhousing but just wanting to know if anyone has heard of it? And he reckons its an O ring seal but yea any advice would help.

it might be leaking from the cooler line up near the top of the bellhousing
