engine light dance....

ok, so im sure theres probably a thread about this somewhere, but i spent fkn ages searching, and cant find anything! so here goes..
my engine lights doing the dance.... you know, the 10 secs on, 1 min off... 20 secs on, 1 min off... etc etc...
and i know theres some test thingy you can do to determine what it is, without spending heaps taking it to holden to get it done properly....
anyone help me out?? pweeeeeease?

also, on the engine light dance... weirdest thing yeah... it came on, and stayed on for like, 10-15 mins a cpl weeks ago... then i went up someones ass the next day, and it didnt come on for like, 2 wks... (granted it spent 3 days off the road, but still..) and now it doesnt stay on for as long.... so im confused also :P
but really wanna do this testy thing...
