not on the motor. It's on the exhaust.
std vr will have 1 on the pass side down the back of the engine on the pipe.
a ecotec will have one either side in the same spot.
sort of look like a spark plug with 2 or 4 wires out the back.

Oxygen sensors are not in the motor, they are in the exhasut system.
Look where the spark plugs are and follow the exhasut manifold down to where it becomes the exhaust pipe (near the transmission) it is the thing screwed into the exhaust with 2 or 3 wires coming off it.
V6 has one either side of the motor.
If faulty the fuel mixture can/will be incorrect, hence high fuel consumtion.

nah mate vice grips or a 7/8 spanner i think it was.
Do it when the engine is cool or you will leave melted skin behind.
about as hard as changing a spark plug.

02 sensor on my VR wagon is located just before the catalytic converter and after where the two engine pipes join. Just one (1). A site to check out AA1Car Auto Repair Diagnosis Help, it may be a Yank site but it has some info on sensors and what they do.
