I have a VR Wagon that has a miss in the engine at 80kms and slower, it is a definite dead spot, at high speed and when I over take it seems fine.
Today I gave it a birthday, new plugs, fuel filter, oil change and filter, injector cleaner.
When I went to go for a test drive the darn radiator blew a hole in the front of the core, water was P*****G out. It has been loosing fluid and was wondering where it was going, now I know. Anyhow, the radiator cap has a little brown oil sludge on it which is not good. I have never heard of a V6 engine blowing a head gasket, could this be my problem. Can someone give a little guidance in the right direction. I will fit a new radiator tomorrow. I was sort of thinking that if I have blown a head gasket, this might have been what caused the old radiator to blow, but surely the cap should have lifted first. When I fit the new radiator I will get a gas test on it. Will I get away with driving it about 6kms with the radiator cap off.??
