where to put my tacho?

any1 got pictures of a rpm tacho fitted in a vr i need to work out the best spot to put it. any help will be appreciated

shortly ill be looking at making brackets for tachos so u can simply remove an aircon vent and plug them in if you wish to let me use your car as a demo for the vr/vs ill be able to do it for free, just gotta get the equipment first

Grow up a little so your big enough to see theres one in your dash.

also its not cop bait im off my p's so they dont hassle me much anyways and its not a 5 inch tacho its just 3inch one or something so its not gonna be in my face 2 much..aslong as you put it in the right area its legal.

should be good to have shift light anyways when i get either the man conversion in or shift kit i will post a pic of it up when its in

I'd fit it to where the original one was, this way you can have an aftermarket one in there that amazingly does the same job!!

Not defending him or anything (because VR V6 auto's with aftermarket rev tacho's are beyond rediculous), but i'd say there's a 99% chance his VR V6 doesn't have a rev gauge. Pretty sure most of the (providing they are Execs) just have a stage 1 cluster. Being a fuel and temp gauge with a speedo.

Ive seen them mounted on shelves in boxes,at places like Repco and Autobahn, they look pretty good mounted there......

I'd suggest learning where the shift point is by ear and feel so you can manual shift it. No need for a shift light either. It's piss easy to learn when to shift. You can hear it.

When I had a VR, it already had an RPM guage. Why would you need to bolt on an aftermarket one?

Not all of them come with an RPM gauge.......

Really? I drove an Executive VR and a Calais VR and I'm sure both had RPM. Either way, its an auto and kind of pointless anyway.

You could always cut out you coin holder/speed alert and flush mount it in there I have an ipod dock mounted there atm looks the part i think

i just wanted a cheap mod that adds something to the car and down the track i will be getting a man conversion so it wont be pointless down the track but im getting it out of the way anyways its getting put in now so hopefully all goes well ...god every1 on here gives people shit ...why dont u start talkin about my fully sik neons i bet that will fill up a few more pages

why not just spend the $20 and get a level 2 cluster from the wreckers instead of being one of those guys that a shake my head at when i pull up at a set of lights......
