hi all i am getting lpg fitted next friday. and i was wondering what probs to expect if any. the motor is a full reco for gas and has done 40,000 km
Dual fuel or straight gas ?
If its dual drive it at least 10kms in one hit on petrol at least once a week.
it will be dual fuel and i do approx 1200km a week so they both will get a workout. thanks for the tip
Most people just switch to gas once its started, and wonder why its runs like shit when they run out of gas and have to use petrol. so giving it a decent run on petrol once a week will keep the motor clean and healthy for when you have to use the petrol. Also expect you economy on petrol to change you will use more petrol to get the same distance than you did before the gas conversion simple reason its one or the other not both.
Hi all got the gas fitted thought i would let u all know the fuel consumption 588km and used 70 ltrs of gas. if my maths is right thats 8.4 ltrs per 100klm and at 40.9 its saving me heaps. and no difference in power that i can notice
That must be country driving? Injected LPG?
yeah country driving and its not the injected type of gas system
thats fair good, post what sort of city economy you get when you find out

TBH, it sounds to good to be true. I have LPG and get around 13-14lts/100 in town.

its recomended to use 20litres of petrol at least , every 6 weeks . would be worth wile getting a flash lube kit ,it keeps every thing lubed inside .also get good gas compatable leads and gap your plugs at 1.2mm to help prevent back firing .
buy a spare air box....just in case![]()
