t5 question?

hey guys...i have a t5 for a 304 the only problem i have is the 2nd gear is a bit of a mess. but i do have a spare vn v6 manual that is all sweet for me to steal parts from to do my manual conversion for my senator. any way. would the 2nd gear and any other parts from the v6 t5 fit my 304 t5? i heard the only difference between the 2 is the center shaft and bell housing is that true? cheers

the v6 box has different ratios...

They may physically fit however.. not too sure on that... also, i believe the v8 may have had shot peened gears too.. again, thats just speculation.

there are bearing differences and shaft difference as well as the different ratio's mentioned above.

There's guys around that will shorten the shaft for you to make the V6 one fit, apart from the shaft and ratios it's the same box
