hey guys,
did the stupid thing of pulling both auto transmission oil cooling hoses off without remembering which of the 2 cooling lines goes into the top or bottom of the radiator connections.
vs, v6, auto, push on lines
want to do the radiator tomorrow and need to know which goes where!
any help would be appreciated, pics especially!
being under pressure i cant see it matter that much if you did get it on the wrong way..
id have look at the hoses, normally you can see which had the higher bend etc
yeah i figured that, but was hoping someone could confirm their original placement, just for peace of mind
anyone got a pic showing this?
or can someone describe as best as they can which one goes where?
It doesn't make any difference.
easy way to tell. crank the car with the fuel pump fuse out. which ever one spits out fluid goes on top.
hang on a second, i think its the other way around. The fluid is supposed to go in the bottom of the cooler and out the top. If you have an extra cooler the top hose from the first should plug into the bottom of second. This way fluid flows upwards through the cooler so you don't create a waterfall inside and aerate the fluid.
If you can wait till tomorrow ill check mine out is to dark outside and i can be f'ed taking a light out with me
it wont pump any fluid out in park you have to put it in drive normally they feed in the dop and come out the bottom
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
thanks all for the replies guys, but am now a little confused
from memory, the two lines are held together where they rest on top of the sump (one slightly on top of the other). does the line that sits on top of the other connect to the top or bottom of the radiator?
or
is one of the lines bent slightly higher at its end (towards the top of the radiator) than the other making it obvious that it should be connected to the top of the radiator?
or
anyone got a pic or better explanation

The line that sits slightly on the top goes to the bottom.
