Why do yo drive a VR/VS? Take the poll and leave more info if you like, just gettig an idea of why ppl own them.

VR, Because shes the goodlooking model of the Buick engine based commodores, low rev torque, comfortable to drive and/or trash, not too hard to take care of, panels and parts are cheap and engines are basic, can do many mods to, they look great when kept in good condition. Not as much cop attention as say a VL / VN / VP...
vr vs well until recently i steered it and my mates pushed
Im on my 2nd VS. I like the shape more than any other commodore and like the smoothness of the ecotec over the buick. They are also very cheap and easy to make look great and go well (well enough for me for now anyway)
I'd definately buy another one

lol vp cause it flogs the vs's and hsv vr's.
Basically its functional as a spacious wagon and i couldnt find a manual VX V8 manual wagon at the time so vr man v8 wagon it was as its all i could find. Everything else was out of my price range.
I could have voted for either the first OR second option. I don't have the money to upgrade but yet I really do like the VS. I've only ever owned two cars in my life and both being a VS. I like the Ecotec design. They are simple, easy to work on, parts readily available and inexpensive.
My father-in-law bought a 05 VZ exec wagon on Friday. Nice car, only 70,000kms, looks great for a stock car and handles quite well for a wagon. But to be honest it's not the most inspiring thing to drive. Put your foot down and wait a minute for the electronic throttle control to do it's thing.
If I had the money I'd go for a VYII Calais with an L67. Until then I'll stick with the VS
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
Yeah until i can affrd a VT-VX, 5-6 speed, LS1 Wagon...i'll be stickin wit my VR wags
nor is yours stock so think boy think
Socials would win. Manual.![]()
But yours and his then maybe ONLY maybe hehe
manual doesnt mean much if you cant shift properly
I was looking for another car and I got offered this one (vr) for a bargain price (or so i thought). Before that had no idea about commodores. My next car will be a weekend car, thinking something jap like a supra, a commodore will always be a family car no matter how hard you try.
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
i drive a VS because my lamborghini gallardo is in the shop getting nos and a 3 foot spoiler installed.
next mod is a, metallic red paint job , should add an extra 30 horses in the daylight.
lol. This engine is going well atm, just waiting for it to go boom now.
Only thing not stock is the foam tune and cai.
Most commodore drivers can't or won't push their cars as hard as they can go.
the only reason i drive my vs is because its manual and and it used to rip masive skids before i blew this engine. but i would swap it for a lancer
i just love the shape, my parents has a VS SS which i was in love with.
I would say that it was the best I could get for the money available. But I do LOVE the VS's, the shape is just clean and mean.
If I had the money and I wasn't on my P's I would get a VX SS with leather interior and a sunroof...thats the next car...haha
I love vn/vp and used to think vr vs was a bit plain and I wasn't all that impressed by the eco tec,
but im on my second vs (GF wrote off the last 1) and I'm in love. a good looking car and the eco tec is the way to go.
i only bought my vs cause it was the highest model i could afford at the time, also it is faster than the vt.... if i could repick back when i was 18 and could afford it woulda gone vt
Bought my VS Calais because it is safer for my family than my VL was![]()
