Just looking for a second car atm and once I find out if my engine is still decent for awhile im going to buy another car instead of rebuilding mine.
Have been looking at a 96 Vs Senator 215kw umm has 179k mica panther love that colour. leather an all the other options. They have $8700 on it but might get them to budge alittle yet see what happens.
Whats ppls thoughts on them. I know it will feel way diff to drive compared to my Gen3 but yeh this car would be for me and the misses can have the calais. But since I love the vs models still why not get a HSV one lol.
Im trying to keep my eyes on anything Vs and with the 215 side of things aswell.

Dude even with 170XXX km's on it, $8700 is pretty damn cheap for a 5.7 stroker Senator. I'd be questioning why it's so cheap. Get an aftermarket LSD for it too, once those Hydratrak diffs are ****ed, they cost a complete bucket to have rebuilt. Almost cheaper to buy a KAZZ LSD.
I only have a tuned 185i Senator, but i love them, they look sex.

Where did you look it up? Good chance that person just stuck a 215i badge on it. Have a hunt around and look at the price of 215i VS HSV's, they are up around the $15,000 mark. This seems a bit shifty to me.

And he says in the ad it's got 215i BADGES and ENGINE COVERS, doesn't mean it's an actual 215i. He has advertised it as a 185i, for that price, there's a good chance it is only a 185i.

Yeah, even for a clean 185i, that's an alright price. I'd still go and check it out in person, photo's can be decieving.

Yeah. I have seen a few 215's around but way higher k's and not soo good looking either. Either way I'd be happy with a 185i just thought id see what ppl thought. I'm defently after a Senator over the clubby. Brother just got a vs clubby in the same colour and the 185i. Altho he swaped his maloo ute for it which I think was a pretty good deal for him considering....

I know it won't have as much power as a 215i, but get a nice clean low km's 185i Senator for around $13k and chuck a full exhaust on it with a tune and some diff gears and you should be happy for a while.
I picked up my Senator 185i for $11,900, no roadworthy with 143,000 km's on the clock, immaculate bar a tear in the drivers seat, one owner, full service history, log books, all original owners compendium, even had all the brochures and business cards that were originally with it, factory sunroof, factory stereo with 10 stacker, never smoked in etc off an old bloke in country Vic.
Never misses a beat, only thing i had to do was a few months ago, replace the dizzy. Other than that it runs like a dream, no leaks, no funny noises etc.
For $13k you can EASILY pick one up with low km's and one that is very clean and original. For $10k you can get one with reasonable km's still clean that probably already has a full exhaust.

also you would neverget it for $15,000.....the lowest he'd go would be like $25,000 IF your lucky...
Not a ****ing chance it would be $25,000, that's bloody rediculous. The reserve would be no more than $20,000 max i'd say. Keep in mind, it's still just a VS Senator.
