Don't think that it is feasible or even possible to do that, if somehow it is i'd like to hear about it. On the other hand you can throw a brick on your pedal

I'm surprised you're able to get your lazy arse to the car!

Don't feel the need to reply, go and having a sleep. Walking to the computer must have been hard work.

The original question here was a good question !! it would be cool to be able to use it at any speed. My guess is that using it at low speeds would encourage stupid behaviour. like people setting it at 10k's then getting out and running beside the car ... then tripping over and the car driving itself away.

It's even funnier to see ********s try to do it and get run over by their own cars.
But that's the only reason I can see for wanting to be able to set cruise at like 5kph, so its probably a good thing you can't do it

cruise control is designed for just that... cruising.

that is, driving on freeways/highways at a constant speed for a prolonged period of time.

its not designed for setting it at 40km/h and then having to deactivate it 10 seconds later.

i guess i just don't understand why you find this to be cool???

It could be useful, i have my cruise on all the time, and Adelaide being Adelayed, we have roadworks everywhere. Setting it at 25 would be awesome, moreso so the people who think its ok to try and do 120 through road works cant

Why can't you just hold your foot on the accelerator at 25? Then people behind you still couldn't do 120

I don't hold my foot on the pedal at 60, would be good to also do it at 25. Also makes NO chance for going over the speed limit (as always happens)

well it would be nice too be able too just click it at the lights in economy and not have too watch the speedo , however in power mine seems too gun it sometimes when i click so that could be dangerous.

there would be some sort of enable wire or cct between the cruise module and the ecu. I would imagine the ecu simply takes voltage off the enable wire when the speed sensor shows under 40k's along with other preset conditions. Or the speed sensor comes back out of the ecu and to the cruise module to give it a speed reading and it will enable/disable itself. You could possibly spend somtime with some mud maps and figure it out and wire in an overide switch for the enable cct.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure to pass the license test you have to be able to drive without speeding. Did you use cruise control on your license test?

Or maybe I should make a new sig:

cruise workin at 25km/h would be awesome, with the amount of road works happening in the barossa ( kilometers of it) and a lot of it 25. would make logical sence.
