I noticed the other day that my rear left brake light wasn't working, so I immediately suspected a blown globe or something. But then I turned on my lights and noticed that the light works, only the brake lights don't work, on the left hand side.
Is this still a blown globe or could there be a short somewhere?
Any ideas of where to start looking to fix/identify problem?
blown globe mate,
there are 2 filaments in these globes (one for lights, one for braking)... your brake filament has blown
pop a new globe in there and you'll be good as new
just for future reference too, when the globes blow the fillament will break and they can somtimes catch the other fillament and short out, which can cause you some greif thinking you have wiring issues.
But as above change your globe and she'll be alright.
yeah good point
can result in all lights dissappearing when you brake
