    Default Vs Rear Bumper

Does anyone know if the rear vs wagon bumper will fit on the ute, and if with mods what are the mods.

    Cheers Max

No, wagon and ute are a completely different shape.

Utes just have end plates, because the sheetmetal covers the whole rear guard. Wagons have the plastic bar that wraps around to the guard.

I would like to cover in that whole back section where the number plate goes...

Was thinking of just getting my mates dad to press up a rollpan for me to weld in there but I dont know...

Do you just mean a Ute Infill Panel? If so Google or look or Ebay.

i was also wondering about if a wagon bumper would fit on a ute as i want to get rid of those bumperet things so it would just curv around like a normal bumper?

    Exactly what Im looking for...

How is it that you can buy Rear bodykit bumpers that bolt straight onto a ute or wagon without modification???

But you cant bolt a wagon bumper onto a ute.

Not possible, whoever is selling wagon and ute parts as the same if scamming you. Are you sure they didn't just stock items of each?

The sheetmetal on the ute goes all the way to the bottom, the wagon it is level with the top of the wheel arch.

There is some parts that will fit, for instance SS kits are almost the right size to fit (because the bottom of the metal on a ute is the same shape as the plastic bumper of a wagon)

Pics for comparison. As is pretty obvious, the bottom of the metal on the ute, with the plastic bumperette, makes the same shape as the wagons plastic bar (I had a mate with a ute on msn measure it, and it was within i think 3mm of being the same length, although i just assumed he didn't know how to use a measuring tape lol)

What if i cut down the yellow line???
The 3mm gap is between the bumperette/bumper and the tailights???

I've never seen behind the bumperettes to be able to say if it would work or not. Why not buy a bumper from the wreckers and find out?

The other problem may be the tail gate hinges, but nothing a jigsaw wouldn't fix....

Try the Quokka, you could probably pick up a complete car for $500. Then sell off the rest.
