Recently I have had both front sealed hub assemblies replaced, due to kms on car.
After 5,000kms on the new repco brand hubs there is play in the bearings.
Has any one had problems with repco hubs?
Should there be any play in the bearings?
i havnt baught repco brand hubs ever, ive worked in an auto parts store for a few years now and ive noticed that most store brands dont cut it, the stores have very low warrenty on their parts and most of them are seconds from other brands, its better to spend more money on a better part than to buy a crap part and end up paying more in the long run...if i were you i would go in with your receipt and tell them there is a serious problem with the part, they might ask you to get a mechanic to verify or they might give you another set for free but get a refund if they will give it and buy a better brand.
if any of that helps : )
There shouldn't be any play in the hubs. I had some play in one I purchased off eBay after a couple of months - particularly noticeable on braking. Replaced under warranty.
definitely not... play in the hub is a sign of failure
take it back for an exchange/refund
Yah get what ya pay for.
