.... or a towtruck lol , just wanna know what security upgrades too make it as unpinchable as possible.
Not very...
As far as making it unstealable, I'm not sure. But I can suggest an extra alarm that alerts you from your keyring when anything happens at your car, with gps so you can find it if you don't get there before they steal it, and a way to find out who took it if they are lucky enough not to be there when you find it again.
As far as details...I figure the less public the details are the more likely they are to work

Satellite tracking will be your best hope to recover the car still together, but in saying that who is going to look twice at a tow truck driver towing a car and fitting a car cover over it to protect it. cover the car with lead blankets will block out the GPS signal.
Point is you will not stop a pro who wants your car only deter a amateur, use a clublock fit a alarm and after market immobiliser
all mods mentioned plus a garage, alarm on garage, sensors in driveway or sleep in car
i guess theft insurance would be the cheapest option.
Ha Ha thats true or if your really worryed buy some drilled rotors and buy some of them padlocks for motobike disc brakes haha.
there was a towie in perth a few years back that was going around knocking off new statesmans and storing them inside his shed. the got him for the gps alert on one of the cars. suppose you could even rig up a genuine switch you dont use as a kill switch. they would never find it if you had it like in a rear demister switch
thats a good idea.
like above post, if your desperate, you can disconnect your plug leads. I moved to a pretty dodgy area of the city, and some nights, if i dont get a good parking spot, i remove my leads completely, and bring them inside with me !!!!!
Hidden killswitch...
Hahaha cheapest and best way. If they are the scummy street thieves who wanna quickly steal a car and bail, they will leave the car quickly once they realise it won't start straight away when hotwiring it. I highly doubt a thief will pop the bonnet and look for possible things wrong with the car, OR do an error code check![]()

I kid but these days nothing is unstealable Im afraid. If they want something theres bound to be ways of them getting to it.
yer well i assume they cant just pop open the steering column and push a rod in like old cars.
How hard do you reckon it would be to install a little killswitch? It surely wouldnt be hard. Wouldnt you just find the cable that goes from your battery to your ignition and then put a switch in between?

decent alarm, immobiliser system and parking spots to keep the low end thieves from taking it is all you can do.
higher end thieves will just tow it away as quickly as they can... and instead of taking your old commodore, hopefully they'll snatch the beemer parked next to you.
a handy little hint that will cost you nothing... turn your wheels and lock them in place after you park. makes it a lot more painful for someone trying to hook your car up from the rear and tow it away (car won't travel straight coz wheels are fully turned).
To make the car un startable, Pull up the console, work out which switch is the park switch ( the one that stops you starting the car in D and cut it, Put a momentary switch in and everytime you start you just have to push it
Ben
There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.
i guess if its amatuers theyll go for the gemini or xd ford before the vs and pros would go for something worth a bit more at the chop shop but still...... ive had a gemini AND a vn both stolen and burnt.....
there bloody well would be if i caught them in the act.
i was thinking make up another brake switch and run the wiring to the neutral switch on the auto so every time you start ur car you have to push on the brake, basically the same as what "TrikkBen" said but you wont have to reach for a button every time. kinda like the clutch switch in some cars
people hold thier foot on the break when starting the car anyway, its in the p`s test so i dont think thats gonna work too well.
